Oh well, at least I won't get distracted from school by discussing with him over the next couple of weeks.

conspiromaniac has been banned for 30 days due to rude behaviour, unfounded accusations against other members of the forum, and for not defending his claims against Apollo (trolling). If this behaviour continues when he returns the ban will be made permanent. Just out of curiosity, what message does a banned person receive when they try returning to the forum? If the ban is temporary, is their a message that spells that out?

Just out of curiosity, what message does a banned person receive when they try returning to the forum? If the ban is temporary, is their a message that spells that out? To be honest, I'm not sure because I've never been on the receiving end of a ban. I will try to find out. He should be able to still read the forum (he just can't log in or post) in which case he can see the post I made explaining why he was banned. Edited to add: I tried the ban feature on another account that I set up for testing purposes and when I tried to log in it reported that the account had been disabled by a staff member and that I would be able to log in again on November 21, 2007. It didn't explain why the account was disabled even though I recorded a reason when I banned the account, so that is kind of disappointing, but I am glad that it does say when the account will be re-enabled.

Cosmored has been banned for sock-puppetry. He is a previously banned user (Rocky).

There's a surprise. Do CTs get extra points in their world for getting banned multiple times?

He didn't even bother to change his style.
Just how many HBs strictly rely on videos to tell their stories as much as Rocky did?
Well, aside from the pros like Sibrel and Percy. I mean their followers.

He didn't even bother to change his style. In my experience styles on sites like this are usually very distinctive. Even if a troll tries to change their style when they return as a sock puppet they will very quickly slip back in to old habits, this is why they usually get caught. What amazes me at Unexplained Mysteries, where I moderate, is how easy some trolls make it for us. They will get banned under a name such as "XYZ" and then re-register as "XYZ2". Some are bright enough to change their name to something totally different but in their first post will say something like, "Hi, I'm Joe the Troll, you might know me as XYZ". Then they wonder why they get banned again. These people need to be banned from the internet, they are too stupid to be allowed access.

Margamatix (aka. Spongebob, etc.) recently tried to re-register using the name Xitamagram. So clever! I might not have noticed if he hadn't also used the same email address he had used before.

It's as devious as someone hiding under the name Count Alucard.

I saw Peter Parker getting kicked out of a jazz club in New York last night. He is such a good kid. I don't know what got into him.

Bill Thompson has been permanently banned for rude behaviour, board vandalism (replacing 48 of his recent posts with insults towards me and the other members of the forum), and for sock-puppetry (his new account "hacked" has also been disabled).

Wow - Bill really had a meltdown there. I wonder what brought that on? Boredom?

Bill, Bill, what the heck happened. I don't think he really meant what he wrote, I suspect something happened in his personal life and he vented here. Good bye Bill.

I don't know - he seemed to me to be showing signs of frustration with the forum. He wanted me to go join another forum that he moderated a couple months ago (after having been warned by LunarOrbit that he was getting too personal) and he was obviously out of step with the rest of the forum on the "Fermi's Paradox" thread.
