I always find Bill Thompson's posts to be worth a laugh. He's an arrogant self-righteous Ess Oh Bee on every forum where I find his posts, but sometimes his annoying petulant opinioneering is amusing.
I vote: Don't punish "Rick" for the sins of "Bill" but let him hoist his own petard under the new name if he feels the need to do so.
Oh, and "rick:" don't push you're luck. LO wields a heavy ban-hammer around here, as I'm sure you've seen.

the warnings are more or less "hey, this guy seems like a nice guy who is defending the religion he choose and you are a meany for hurting his feelings"
You repeatedly made personal comments to that regard saying time after time that you were tired of what he said.
So you were basically saying "this is my house and free speech is what I decide it to be"
It would appear that Thompson enjoyed being a member of his forum.

Actually, I can edit other users posts, but when I do it labels them "Edited by LunarOrbit". So I can't alter a post to make it appear that someone said something they didn't. What Bill is accusing me of is impossible without knowing his password.

Well, ya see, I had some spare time this evening, so I was doing the random surf thing. I was actually looking up some Apollo stuff on the porous plate sublimation dealy.
I came across this dude, who believes it is all a hoax. All of it.
No space travel at all, it's all hoaxed.
And he oddly only posts to the comments sections of newspapers. And boy are those odd comments. Oh, and I should say, LOTS of newspapers, around the world.
It was rather odd.

I included longfuzzy on my abbreviated list of fattydash/P1k's socks over on JREF. He PM'd me and said he was not one of fd/P1k's socks. He thought his sole post here had been misunderstood and wondered what might consitute evidence of his non-sock puppetry.
A brief glance at his posting history on JREF doesn't really look like P1k/fattydash/etc.'s bloviatory style, so he may be on the level. I don't know what other evidence you had against him, but if you care to give him a shot at redemption and would like to pass anything on to him, I'm OK with playing middleman.
