Jay,
I was thinking about trying to contact Dr Van Allen to find out some things abut the Explorer missions and Van Allen Belts first hand. You were saying about having contacted him about the Fox TV quote, and so I was wondering, does he have an E-Mail I can get through to him on, or would I have to contact him via snail-mail. Either way, if you have some contact details, would you be able to pass them on to me via PM?

I will have to look them up on my other computer. I contacted him through his university by paper mail. It was quite some time before he responded. He is an emeritus professor and so may not receive mail there on a regular basis.
