This probably doesn't really belong in the "Tech Support" section of the forum, and "Diligent Reader" was obviously doing a drive-by.

'How shall a man judge what to do in such times?'
'As he ever has judged,' said Aragorn. 'Good and ill have not changed since yesteryear; nor are they one thing among Elves and Dwarves, and another among Men. It is a man's part to discern them, as much in the Golden Wood as in his own house.'

It definitely does not belong in the Tech Support section of the forum which is intended for resolving problems with the forum or website, not for general feedback.

I left this section of the forum open to all, even unregistered visitors, so that people can still contact me even when they are unable to login. If people are going to abuse that then I may have to close that hole, which kind of defeats the purpose.

If people really want to give feedback, whether it is praise or criticism, they can register. The same amount of anonimity is possible with a registered account, so I'm not sure what they're afraid of.

Jay, shrill tones? Will the poster highlight those tones (s)he finds 'shrill'. It would be useful to know.

Clavius is an excellent source. I am new to the Apollo Hoax, and I found Clavius very useful in getting me going. We should be grateful to Jay for providing us with the site, and remember what it is, a factual, scientific website. The tone is not shrill, merely 'factual'.

It's a shame to anti-establishment brigade dismiss it so easily as propaganda. If they spent time 'listening' to the answers at Clavius, and did some study, then they'd see that Apollo is consistent with the frameworks of science and engineering, and not just the 'common sense open your eyes' view they apply. Instead they run down the world and anyone who has made legitimate contributions to society. Given the mud slinging Jay faces from the HB community, I applaud him on the way he conducts himself. It must involve a lot of restraint on his part. I know I would wilt if subjected to the abuse he faces.

I've said this in another thread recently. My few dealings with Jay have always been positive ones. He is a mild and courteous individual, ready to help with questions and clear up misunderstandings. He is fastidious in his approach and is clearly an international expert in his field. His knowledge of Apollo his encyclopaedic.

He certainly does not take fools gladly (IMHO). I'd say Jay is firm in that respect. I certainly would not like to cross intellectual swords with him. However, he knows his capability, and is generous with lesser mortals.

Thank God for men like Armstrong. In times of war they defended our freedom and liberty. In times of peace they expanded our knowledge.

I was kind of hoping "DiligentReader" would respond before I did that. I will probably move it to the Clavius section sometime soon.

Surely, Sir, you are the possessor of an evil mind to think such mischievous thoughts of Mr White.

Or is there more to this than meets the casual eye and sleeping brain?
