The creator of these vids also mentions the colour wheel on the Westinghouse Color TV Camera on the write-up. Another big oops, since we all know they stopped using that camera after Apollo 14.
James, I hope you don't mind a small correction here. The Westinghouse designed camera was used in the CSM through to ASTP. The lunar surface camera post Apollo 14 was the LRV mounted RCA camera, and indeed used from Apollo 15 through Apollo 17. Incidentally a black and white back-up camera was carried on the LM after Apollo 12's mishap which was for at least A14 most definitely the A11-type B&W Westinghouse camera.

I haven't watched the (bogus) footage yet, so I'll reserve comment on that, but I noticed that someone has gone to the trouble of creating an Apollo 20 'patch' to head off the footage.
Did NASA get as far as creating patches for 18/19/20?

I assume the numbers we see are supposedly those printed on the LM windows. In several places we see the terrain outside change as the camera moves around, yet the numbers remain fixed. A good example of this occurs around 4:30. If the camera is bouncing around as it appears, then the numbers should be moving around as well. If the numbers are supposed to be what I think they are, then what we see is impossible from authentic footage.
Exactly the point I was just going to make. The numbers weren't "attached" to the camera, so they should have shown the same effects of camera movement that everything else in the frame did.
Since they remained relatively motionless compared to the background, they were most likely added digitally during editing. His attempt at increasing authenticity seems to have backfired.

I noticed that also. I don't know, but I did notice what immediately followed it: a bluescreen datestamp showing day 198 of 1969 (July 17th, 1969)
Why would an "Apollo 20" mission have a datestamp that coincides with the Apollo 11 mission?
It appears our intrepid hoax maker used bits and pieces of video from various sources here. The blue datestamp screen is the same one seen in Bart Sibrel's infamous, "A Funny Thing Happened" video.
Do you think Bart might be moonlighting as an Apollo hoax *creator*?

The blue date stamps are what NASA have at the start of each video clip on the raw tape source. SCF DVDs have them edited out (although on the original A11 set you see a fragment of one), but on the raw Skylab material I have, each segment has this stamp. NASA's version of a clapperboard containing relevant info. Although the blue is darned annoying.

I've got no idea why if the person who made this could design an Apollo 20 patch to head off the footage, he couldn't have 'tweaked' an existing NASA header to reflect the 'reality' he was trying to create.
In any case, I'm downloading the (14mb) file at the moment so I can watch it without having to be online. Once I've watched it I'll comment further...
Later: I've downloaded the linked segment, I think I'll pull down the rest tomorrow from a net cafe... I'll try and do a transcript of all the 'quotes' included in the various film segments.
As for that Apollo 20 patch, the listed astronaut surnames are "Rutledge, Snyder & (Aleksei?) Leonov" so our faker is trying to claim this was a joint US/Soviet mission

Doesn't read like the real thing though, rather like something that someone thought should be the real thing. Here's the straight transcript from part of the A17 landing. Notice how many times the A17 crew start with "Houston, Seventeen" in fact notice how often "17" is even mentioned....
------------------------- 112:47:50 Schmitt: Okay. Coming up on 2 minutes; I'm changing over here. 112:47:52 Cernan: Okay. 112:47:54 Schmitt: Master Arm, On. Two minutes. 112:47:58 Cernan: Okay, Houston. 2 minutes. Master Arm is On. I've got two good lights. 112:48:00 Fullerton: Roger. 112:48:01 Schmitt: Mode Select is PGNS. 112:48:03 Cernan: Okay. Once again, in average g, I'll get the Engine Arm. You confirm the ullage, I'll get the Pro. I'll back up the ullage and get the Start. 112:48:10 Schmitt: Roger. 112:48:20 Fullerton: Challenger, we're going to leave Batt 3, Off... 112:48:22 Schmitt: (Garbled) Auto, Auto. 112:48:22 Fullerton: ...until after ignition. We'll call you. 112:48:26 Schmitt: Roger. Yeah, I should have put that on like we talked about. 112:48:32 Cernan: Man, I'll tell you, we are getting close. 112:48:34 Schmitt: Looking out your window is really strange. (Laughing). From over here. 112:48:56 Cernan: One minute, Houston, and we're standing by. We're Go for PDI. 112:48:59 Fullerton: Roger. You're looking good here. 112:49:19 Schmitt: Okay, approaching 30 seconds. Blank DSKY. 112:49:22 Cernan: DSKY blank. (Pause) Average g. 112:49:30 Schmitt: Got two lights. 112:49:31 Cernan: Okay, Engine Arm is Descent. I think the tapemeter drove. I'm not sure. Go for Enter. 112:51:29 Cernan: 1:30. We're Go coming through 57K. 112:51:43 Schmitt: We're still 30 feet per second high in H-dot. But we're about 8000 feet high... 112:51:48 Fullerton: Challenger, Houston,... 112:51:49 Schmitt: ... 7000. 112:51:51 Fullerton: ...we'd like you to cycle the PQGS switch Off and then back On. 112:51:52 Cernan: Okay, Houston. Coming up on 2 minutes. (pause) Okay. It's Off. And it's back On. Quantity Light is out. 112:52:06 Fullerton: Roger. That should be good now. 112:52:09 Cernan: And, Houston, we... Okay. We have Engine Thrust and Commanded Thrust, full-scale high. 112:52:18 Fullerton: Roger. 112:52:19 Schmitt: Man, that looks good. 112:52:20 Cernan: Okay, babe, let's check them at 02:30. 112:52:22 Schmitt: RCS looks good. 112:52:27 Cernan: 02:30, I'm about 89 degrees... 112:52:28 Schmitt: Cabin looks great... 112:52:30 Cernan: ...coming through 51.5 thousand feet. 112:52:31 Schmitt: 89 is great. We're catching up on our altitude. We should start dropping H-dot here a little bit. AGS and PGNS are together. AGS has us a little bit out of plane. And we're north; has us north of track.

Yes I realize that, but the date shown is specific to the time period of Apollo 11. Why should it be showing up in a video ostensibly produced several years later?

Exactly my point (Though you made it much clearer.), your transcript from Apollo 17 also makes it clear that the faker is trying to create the impression we are getting 'edited highlights' from a much larger record.
I've listened to it a couple of times and I think I can hear voices but can't make out the words.

I'll go one further, and state that I believe I've heard this exact Apollo/Capcom exchange before. Even though I can't make out the precise words, there's something very familiar about the cadence of the voices and the pattern of the beeps.
I've gone through literally hundreds of hours of Apollo footage, and I'm almost certain this exchange has passed through my brain at some stage.
If I had any actual free time, I might go back and try to match the two up.

I've downloaded the rest of the Apollo 20 Hoax files, I've quickly looked at the rest of them and they are all silent, with the exception of the launch footage.
Three of them begin with a picture of both the 1960's NASA logo and that of the USAF Space Command logo, presumably the faker intends to claim that the 'secret mission' was one carried out by the USAF. However if that is the case why is there a Russian on board .
Two are of them are essentially the same footage which purports to be footage from the rovers camera. In both cases it is the same footage of a photographed lunar background with a cut out 'alien city' on it.
The 'header' that precedes the footage in both cases is this:
Quote:
Apollo 20 MET 140 22 29
unscheduled transmission rover TV
Which raises the question of why the faker didn't create a fake header for the film in the OP since he seems to have done it for his other fake footage.
The third item purports to be 'Mission Planning' photos of the 'Alien Spacecraft' on the lunar surface near a crater called Iszak D (is there such a feature?).
I'll come back to this after I've had a chance to properly go over this material.
