Whatever else you may say about IDW, he is right about one thing that people here are getting wrong:
It's Hawking, not Hawkins.

Just posted. How he could confuse 10^5 as being one million, I don't know, but he seems quite reluctant in admitting his mistake. You are getting this wrong, if reality doesn't agree with IDW, obviously it has to be reality's fault.

I enjoy reading his posts as he has some rather impressive swearage going on, I do feel he is starting to repeat them though, maybe a higher Swearweasel or Badger Quotient might improve the originality and also relieve the immense pressure of the weight of the universe resting on him.
maybe all numeric answers to his questions should be fully formatted so no preconceived numeric anomalies can creep in, that way you can be understood 1x10^2 + 0x10^1 + 0x10^0 percent (well > 0k995%) or answer in Hex notation of 64 bit Real numbers (IEEE 754 (IIRC))

I think he's carefully backing away from his 10^5 error.
(Like Clinton, he's not getting in trouble for the error, but for trying to cover it up.)
First it was "10^5 is a million, period"
Then it moved to "10^5 isn't used in physics"
Now it is sliding towards "10^5 is non-standard notation."
If he was smart, he'd drop back to "10^5 can be misread and thus should be avoided." And then not bring it up again. But being IDW, I have a feeling his penultimate position will be "10^5 means something different than 1 x 10^5/ 1EE5, et al"; and his ultimate position will be, as usual "I never said that! Show me a link to where I said that! And they've been editing my posts to make me look stupid anyhow!"

He's not going to say "it depends on what the meaning of 'is' is"?

I'd say the odds against that are much less than a million (10^5) to one against.

The chances of anything coming from Mars are a million to one they say.

How sad. Trying to make people feel guilty for not believing him, so they'll starty parrotting him so that they feel less guilty. How utterly sad.
Instead of respecting the thousands who died from the attack (regardless of who did them), he goes on a rant of how guilty people should feel for not believing them and how they should symphatize with him.
September 11th should be a day on which we remember those who died as a result of these horrible, horrible attacks. Taking it as an opportunity to propagandize people into a theory is demoralizing. On top of that propagandizing by making people feel guilty for not believing you is just beyond words. Especially on this day.
That man, whoever he is, should be ashamed of himself. Not for thinking 9/11 was a government conspiracy, but for grossly abusing this day for his own good. How utterly selfish.

Welcome to the world of the conspiracy theorist. It's all about attention being paid to him.
