I find it fun when HBs try to label me. I suppose they ignore our terms for them as I do for their terms to us. Off topic: Out of curiosity, which usage of the name "Raven" is your username, Raven? The poem by Poe? The bird? The bird in the poem by Poe? The character voiced by Tara Strong? None of the above? What about the poem "Near a Raven," which gives the first 740 digits of pi?

How about the Raven from the riddle, the one that is like a writing desk?

Jason, nomuse, though I love writing, and Lewis Carlol (whose writing wrapped up a kernel of sensible questioning.) and I admit I am a teen titans shipper, ( Go BB+Rae!), and the poem gives me a fair share of goosebumps, it is really none of these that truly inspired me to take the nickname. My first fascination came about through my love of trickster god mythos. Loki, Anishi, Coyote, Raven, I loved all of them. But I really liked raven, because we share a land, if not a heritage. Then I started delving into the real bird, and I realised they were almost as smart as the trickster, in fact I grew to love all crovids. It was also slightly reactionary. Others love the sweet robin and sparrow, I loved a bird that was smart, cunning, and not classically beautiful. What more logical choice could there be for me? So , that is my story of how I chose the nickname, raven.

Odd how many comic book fans I've been seeing around here and the BAUT of late. But I also hang out at the John Byrne Robotics forum, where there is a strong skeptic undercurrent and a lot of their members are JREF members as well....

I've been called lots of things by Jarrah White, but most of them didn't make cute little acronyms when strung together.
