"Cheer up!" they said, "It could be worse!" So I did, and it was.

That would be Bonnie Tyler's Holding out for a Hero
Jennifer Saunders did a version for Shrek 2 that may be available on a soundtrack CD, and IIRC it was also used as the theme tune for Macguyver or some such show of that ilk

A few minutes of Googling gets this though, it helps to get the lyrics right (there isn't anyhting with the ones you posted)

Jason, any Dutch song of your favorites? Let us see how it would sound like. Maybe you can translate some of it. Rythms can be interesting even if you don't understand the words sometimes.
I remember reading a funny story for an author here. He said he went with his wife for honeymoon in Italy. They were in a restaurant, and she hears an Italian song that she liked a lot. They came back to Lebanon, and she kept on nagging on him that she wants that song . He had a friend who lived in Italy (or was Italian himself). He described the song and the music to that person, and his friend knew that song: it was a song describing a recipe for some food. The sly author braught tha tape and never told his wife about its content. "'Why to?", he said, "if she considers it a romantic song full of love and feelings."

I am sure there are other nice songs. How about the famous Michael Jackson? I rarely hear his songs. Do you know of any nice songs tht adrive ppl so crazy about him? I would really like to hear what kind of songs that he sings that create all this love from ppl for him, althaugh he was accused of many bad things against children (don't know if they are true). www.youtube.com/watch?v=_y7ZuMJJtq4this music I remember associated with him, but I don't get one word. Can anyone tell me what he is saying? thnx

If you mean the intro before the song, here's what I found over at MJTKOP: If you mean the song itself, it is Smooth Criminal, the lyrics for songs can be found at many sites, such as here. (No guarantees on the wording though, sometimes people submit what they think they are hearing...)
