I've looked back and don't see a relevant thread for my question, so I guess I need to start a new one.
I'm reading the Apollo Lunar Surface Journal. As I read I keep finding references to more things that the ground team knew about on the space craft, like the errant light on the panel in A15.
I'm an electronics hobbyist, not an engineer, but I know a little about things like the organization of the signal for standard broadcast television.
I would like to find more about the actual telemetry signal, what was in it, how it was packed etc. Can anyone point me to some specific technical references?

Thanks! Found the one I'm looking for. Of course, it's 93 pages long...

Yeah, right, like my bookmarks list isn't long enough already!
Thanks again. Those links are exactly what I wanted.

You know you're on the path to true Apollo geekery, when reading a 200+-page manual sounds like a *wonderful* way to spend a Saturday evening...

I can read Apollo stuff with the kids interrupting me, but I can't do any really hard thinking until they go to sleep.
