Paul's not alone. Y'know what other pop musician has been killed and replaced with a (barely) look-alike? Weird Al Yankovic. It's true! Here he is on the cover of his 1985 album Dare to be Stupid. Now here "he" is from the liner notes of 2003's Poodle Hat. Irrefutable proof that this clearly is not the same person! Of course, the reason for his replacement was this whistle-blow in the intro to his 1988 video Fat... which revealed his true identity as... the Unabomber!

Well, well Paul Bearer.
Nice to see you again. What happened to you at 60asif?
It's July, 2005 and Paul McCartney is still NOT dead.

I believe that Paul is dead and was replaced by a double. Can anyone listen to the $h!t he recorded with Wings and as a solo artist and really believe he is the same Paul who was in the Beatles?!

Oh no, I can't prove that you're wrong. I will have to re-evaluate all my beliefs.

Got to mostly agree with you -- I was one of those who sat around with my friends, thrashing Beatles 45s and the LPs from Please Please Me, through to Rubber Soul, Sergeant Pepper and the White Album, but nowadays I tend to wonder what I saw in them. Credit where it's due though. I really liked Wings' 1972 single Give Ireland Back to the Irish and thrashed that at parties, and recently bought and admire McCartney's 1976 collaboration with Denny Laine on his Holly Days album, where they did Buddy Holly numbers. (For those who don't know, Buddy Holly is The Greatest by far. )

Had he lived, he would have been bigger than Elvis.
