There was a thread on GLP claiming Cheney couldn't have made the shot anyway as the gun was supposedly a "girl's gun". I stayed away from that one.

Ineptipotent - The ability to screw up absolutely anything. Add Cheny shooting people to the list too. I've already heard CT's that it wasn't an accident. It is the Bush administration testing out their new tort reform plan. Shoot the lawyers!

Well, since so many administration members and friends, and most Bush/Cheney friendly members of Congress* are lawyers - pro-business ones - that seems an awfully blunt instrument.
*So are most of the Bush/Cheney-unfriendly ones, for that matter.

There are many claims made in the articles referenced in your link. There are few details to go along with those claims. For instance, I am a Gulf War era disabled vet. I have 10% disability because I crushed my ankle when I fell off of a waterfall I was climbing in Hawaii while in the USN. I'm sure I am included in the numbers of disabled vets in their claims, even though I have never been exposed to DU, as far as I know. A few more details would enable a person to verify information on their own instead of just taking someone's word for it.
