The point is now, and will always remain, that anybody who accuses intelligent, rational people who disagree with him of being brainwashed is using a technique right out of the paranoid's handbook.
It's certainly not conducive to rational people listening to you.

You're not forced to drink the fluoridated water (promotes passivity) Not surprisingly most 9-11 CT's seem to believe all manner of lunatic notions. On another board on guy was going on about the Illuminati. Moon hoaxers and Holocaust deniers make up a significant part of the "truth movement".

The problem is that people are taught reading and writing and basic math but we are not taught the scientific method or how to really think logically. Human beings do not think logically naturally. The CT's are no different than 95% of us, I think because I have met engineers and scientists who do not apply the scientific method and jump on any bandwaggon that comes by. Here is how CT's minds work, I think. They begin with the idea that something HAS to be some way. Notice that "9-11 Inside Job" thinks that there HAS to be something behind this because our civil liberties are being taken away because of 9-11. Apollo HB's are simular to this, they have either some hate of the government or some religious angle that makes them think that the Apollo missions MUST not be real and then they pick and choose which facts or interpretations support this belief. If a historical event looks suspicious, then they are already convinced that something must be hidden or behind the event and they wll not listen to anything that counters that belief. Admittedly, the JFK assination looks suspicious, here is a known communist who would make a perfect patsy; here is this event where he is suddenly shot as if to keep silent. On the face of it, it does look suspicious. Only after considering all of the evidence and looking closely at everthing ( I recommend Posner's book) do we start to see things differently. But once you are convinced there is a consparacy, then you are usually already gone and can't come back.
