Ah, but it's predicted in the bible that that Earth will go off its axis and spin out of control. Where exactly is there a reference to the Earth's axis in the Bible? And what exactly does "spin out of control" mean? Not to defend the rest of this nonsense, but he's probably referring to Chapter 6 of Revelations, in which the stars fall, the heavens depart, and "every mountain and island was moved out of their places". One possible interpretation of that is that the Earth will go off its axis and spin out of control. So no, it doesn't actually say anything about the Earth's axis.

He means an earthquake in America, actually three quakes. From June...the fall of the statue of liberty, three earthquakes, the assassination (or attempted assassination) of Bush, the assasination of a middle east poltical leader and other stuff. Then, towards the end of the year, stuff with Korea, Iran, the US etc Matthew Stephen website:
JUNE - 3 earthquakes in AmeriKa, 1 'massive quake right after May 31.' He doesnt know if all 3 earthquakes will hit in June. BIG earthquake and an EXPLOSION at the same time. Earthquakes out of the west and to the east. NYC, DC and San Diego explosions. New York will burn. Obama president, 2 political assassinations
Some in the church will begin to die. The false 'annointing' preachers will fall dead. This will cause much repentance. (I HOPE SO!) Mockers will die also. Headlines will report this and say DEATH DEVIL HITS the CHURCH
America will split in 3 parts. After all the other disasters hit America, there will be a 13 on the richter scale, it maybe around 2012. END of Matthew StephenHe is interviewed on this two hour show: www.theedgeam.com/interviews/Matthew_Stephen_05.10.08.mp3He really gets into specifics in the second half. Other people have said this -- but big, awful, major, terrible things happen every day. Why doesn't this guy predict any of those? Why does he only predict vague things in the future? And Lazurusty -- how do you choose to accept his claims over those of anyone else making vague predictions? Or do you accept all vague predictions?

Wait--a leader in the Middle East will be assassinated? Stop the presses! That never happens.

It appears whoever summarised this did not do it correctly and misinterpreted or mistook some points. I'd copied it off a thread, assuming it to be basically correct. My mistake. Listen to the interview to get the full picture. Like I said, the second half he really gets into it.
Hearing some of his interview again, he does NOT say Obama will be President but rather implies it will be Hillary and that Obama may be "removed" from the picture. He states there will be TWO assassinations (or attempted at least) on AMERICAN political leaders, one being Bush, and the other being a democrat. He sees Hillary as representing the whore of America both figuratively and literally and therefore (my own words now) I would say the US will get a president that truly represents them. Therefore Obama may be violently removed from the picture for this to happen.
st60, not everything (like the elections obviously) will happen in June but, according to Stephens, June is where it first begins, starting with a huge earthquake. That is very specific. If that doesn't happen, then we can disregard everything else he said. Some of those events will occur after June. June is the beginning of the rollout of events, you follow?
He seems to believe that the launch of the space shuttle on May 31st is significant for some reason, and felt God tell him that a huge earthquake will occur in America just after this. Hence the June 1st date.
Actually, someone on the original thread feels the Earthquake may even be BEFORE June 1st.
I'm not sure of the exact location but one of the OT prophetic books mentions the Earth spinning out of control.

The vile comments about Sen. Clinton aside - which marks him as a rather disgusting individual - he's still full of it. No, I'm not going to listen to the interview. The balance of my remarks stand. (And that includes the questions - such as why should we listen to his earthquake predictions when he couldn't predict an earthquake in China and cyclone in Burma that together killed about one hundred thousand people.)
He sounds like quite the hateful little crackpot.

I have to agree, and one that doesn't have a clue about Bible history either. While I might be assuming a lot, I assume that the so called "Whore of America" is actually the "Whore of Babylon" and anyone with half an ounce of a clue woulod know that that passage is not refering to either a person, or to America in anyway.

Actually, America as the great whore of babylon is a common interpretation by many now. It is not a physical place but a spiritual state which is what America has become.

Dosn't matter, if a lot of people believe it or not, they are still wrong, the passage itself makes it quite clear what is being talked about and the symboligy of the book itself and the entire Bible match the description. It's not talking about a country, or a government, it's talking about a religion/organisation. There are three women in The Book of Revelation, the Mother, the Whore, and the Bride. All three are religions/organisations. One is Israel, one is the faithful Church, and anyone with half a yogurt for a brain can figure out what the other is just from that, and it is clearly not America in any way shape or form.

I agree with PhantomWolf. The whore of Babylon is not any one nation. In fact it's not any single organized church either.

It doesn't matter how many times it's pointed out that Revelation was intended as current events, does it?

Prophecy in the Bible often has a double meaning for both current and future events.

In January I saw China and a sports event there, the continents were all turned upside down, saw this and didn't know what it means but that’s what I saw, maybe its the Olympics time frame. There's lots of stuff about America too but no time frame.

You will have to excuse me but I place very little stock on dreams other than your brain sorting out its memories and wants and experiences. Qualified to say this only inso far as my experience in life with dreams. I am not religious either so I think that many a take or predictions from holy books do not concern me either. Dreams that contain religious leanings are also just your brain sorting itself out. In my opinion anyway. Apologies to people who have a belief and I am not intending this as an attack in any way.
I look at it this way. I enjoy flying. I do not often get a chance and not a pilot but I can influence my dreams so that I can do the superman bit. Mostly. Sometimes its a hole in the ground and I wake up. But events on the day also creep in. Car breaks down in a dream as mine is at the garage for repair but that monster is chasing me so I use my super human strength to sling it into the sun. And so on.
So forgive me if I place little stock in dreams. I also believe in coincidence.
Mentioned above in the thread, 13 on the richter scale? Won't miss that then will we but the old 2012 creeps in as well. With reference to quakes etc, not exactly quiet this planet. And maybe that the belief that a major one is due plays on the mind and will find its way in?

Looks like my prediction that Hillary Clinton would not be the next president has been confirmed - apparently Mrs. Clinton is going to concede the Democratic nomination to Obama tonight.
