I was wondering because Jack White claims that clavius is sponsered by NASA.
Don't worry I agree that Mr. White is a quack but I looked in vain for any info about who runs the site.
So my real question is not only who is behind the site but do you have any association past or present with NASA?

I do. My name is Jay Windley. I am an engineer by training and profession, and a photographer and lighting designer by hobby. I am not affiliated in any way with NASA, and Mr. White knows this -- he found my name and contact information years ago from the site registration information and sent me an e-mail calling me an "ignorant a-hole" and threatening me with legal action for criticizing his findings.
Clavius is purely a private endeavor, paid for by private funds and managed personally by me with the help and advice of the people here, none of whom has any significant connection to NASA. Mr. White has absolutely no evidence for his claim that Clavius is a NASA-sponsored site.

I discovered your site because of my interest in the plane crash that killed Sen. Paul Wellstone. Jim Fetzer, the main proponents of the theory that he was 'whacked', edited a JFK book which contains some chapters by White. In that book White claims to have qualifications he doesn't
These CT nuts its seems are all the same. Fetzer normally insults and questions the integrity of anyone who dares criticize his theories and in one case he threatened to sue
I have been debating Fetzer for the last few month in a forum.
There he continues to make claims that have been shown to be false. I once even caught him in a lie [message 1947] and did not even try to defend himself. He often gives various versions of the same event.
Like White's claims about JFK and Apollo, Fetzer's theories do not stand up to scrutiny. He simply ignores any info that contradicts his beliefs and distorts what is in his source material to fit his preconceived notions.
Dr. John P Costella is another of Fetzer's cohorts. Despite having a PhD and claiming to be an expert on various subjects he is a high school teacher and has never published an academic article. He makes basic mistakes - like not understanding that an electrical fire ceases to be an electrical fire once the current has been cut.
I gather debating White is not that different from doing so with his 'intellectual fellow travelers'

White's general response to critisim is that those doing the critic are "NASA disinfomatioists out to cause trouble and muddy the waters." You can find one of his typical responses to his critics here

I am familiar with Fetzer and Costella, though I have never debated them directly. I have, however, addressed their ludicrous and unscientific claims as they applied them, in some cases, to Apollo hoax theories.

Jay - I went through the some old posts at FETZERclaimsDEBUNK and saw your posts. Their claims about the "hit" are as absurd as those about the "hoax".
Fetzer conveniently leaves out info that does suit his thesis. The NTSB discovered 4 instances in a 17 month period when Conry, the pilot of the Wellstone flight, would have crashed but for the intervention of his co-pilot. unfortunately his co-pilot on the fatal flight was also incompetent. Fetzer poo-pas and spins. He leaves out that the co-pilot during the last incident was so unnerved he urged Conry to retire. He also leaves out that a close friend testified that Conry told he did feel at ease flying the model of plane that crashed.
