"Data! Data! Data!" He muttered impatiently. "I can't make bricks without clay."

BTW, Ted Twietmeyer is running his mouth off full throttle at Rense.com already about how NASA is censoring the Phoenix photography.

Notice how the believers in magnetic crystalline skulls rather quickly acquire the habit of babbling incoherently? That's what happens when you stare into it's eyes... or pay $11 to see a movie written by George Lucas.

I didn't enjoy it. Maybe a second viewing will help, but I doubt it.

Any ideas as to what the white "object" in the background of this image might be?? Part of the parachute assembly/aeroshell perhaps?? According to the Phoenix Mars Mission website it is " the parachute and backshell of the spacecraft. They fell about 300 meters south of Phoenix's landing site"
...and the pictures are in b&w because, "The early images received from Phoenix are compressed so that we can get them quickly, and they are in black and white so that they can be viewed as soon as they are received. Color images have to be processed (created with multiple layers)."
