Do you ever take one way to drive somewhere, and come back a different way? Even if lights, traffic etc. was not a factor?

Don't you hate it when you need something around the house - you go out and buy it and then find that same item at home later?
Stuff like - WD40. I thought I didn't have any - went out and bought some - now I have three cans of it.

Don't you hate the initial look you get when you say that you frequent a forum on the web called 'Apollohoax', then try quickly as possible to explain that it is a debunking site, not a hoax conspiracy site?
This happened to me once. I was having a conversation with a very intelligent and articulate gentleman - talking about movies (he actually did some blood splatter special effects on the 300 Spartan movie) history, and computers. When I mentioned the Apollohoax forum, his stare become blank. I could hear him thinking to himself "And I thought this guy seemed fairly intelligent. Just shows you never know.." So right away, I explained to him what this place was about, and he just said "Uh, okay.." I don't know if I convinced him...

And lately I've been finding those new type of plastic twist tie things very useful.

Do you ever take one way to drive somewhere, and come back a different way? Even if lights, traffic etc. was not a factor? Yes... my route to work is different (mostly) than the route I follow to get home. It's all in my head, I know, but for some reason returning from work along the same route makes it seem longer. So I take different routes just to make things different and less boring. Also, the route I take to work tends to become over-populated with deer late at night, so if I'm returning home in the dark I take a route that is less likely to include a collision with a large animal.

You can never have too much WD40. Or duct tape. Only two things any toolbox needs. Stick the stuff that ain't stuck, and unstick the stuff that is stuck.

That actually is too simple to be true, but thinking about it, it covers about 80% of most home repair jobs. BUT ITS THE OTHER 20% THAT DRIVES ME CRAZY AND WASTES MY TIME. You know what I mean?

Don't you hate it when you get an abscessed tooth and you can't go to your dentist because it's a civic holiday?

Do you ever take one way to drive somewhere, and come back a different way? Even if lights, traffic etc. was not a factor? Yep - sometimes, for two reasons. 1. Sometimes it's good to see if another way is faster, or has something interesting along the way, etc; and 2. To be not so predictable... just in case.

Do you ever take one way to drive somewhere, and come back a different way? Even if lights, traffic etc. was not a factor? Almost always, although I'm on a bike rather than driving. I'm usually in a rush going, so it's the shortest route out. Coming back, time's not usually a factor, so I'll take a new, different or even random route ;D

Do you ever take one way to drive somewhere, and come back a different way? Even if lights, traffic etc. was not a factor? Frequently. Particularly when I haven't been somewhere before. It drives my wife crazy, she is a point to point navigator where I am more inclined towards learning how landmarks fit in relation to one another. It is the "men won't ask for directions bit." I think it is a way of expanding mental maps. When going to and from work though, I always follow the same route along the freeway because it is by far the fastest way.

Don't you hate it when you get an abscessed tooth and you can't go to your dentist because it's a civic holiday? Ugh... Thanksgiving, 2 years ago. (For the non-'Murricans, that's always on a Thursday and the start of a traditional FOUR-day weekend!) Wasn't abscessed (at that point), just infected and hyper-sensitive to any pressure whatsoever.

Don't you hate it when you go to Chapters and they don't have Neil Armstrong's biography but they do have that Dark Mission conspiracy theory book?
