Because you demanded it. Although I claim the media is primarily liberal-biased, conservative-biased examples can go here too. The more outrageous the better. To start us off, a partial transcript of CNN Sunday Evening on August 25th is available here. The highlight: The transcript points out that The Washington Post has admitted that it has put Sen. Obama on the front pages three times as many times as Sen. McCain, and that Time has run seven covers with Obama and only two with McCain.

The quote is not proof of media bias. It is an opinion.
Listing two newspapers out of hundreds and holding up one statistic based on that shoddy sample is not proof of media bias. It's just you seeing what you want to see.

It doesn't matter how many studies are done showing, if anything, a conservative media bias, does it? It's true that certain papers are more left-leaning, just as certain papers are more right-leaning. But study after study shows that the media in general does not, contrary to what certain whiners claim, have a leftward bias. Though I will grant you The Daily Show.

The Daily Show used to be much more even-handed. I think Jon Stewart has just gotten fed up with the deceit and utter stupidity of the right.

You're so sure of it -- shouldn't you already have a case ready to present? Or do you admit that you just believe in "liberal media bias" because it fits with your preconceived notions?

I just don't to waste time presenting an argument you will reject just because it's coming from me.

One of your more tiresome traits is to continually suggest that you provide well-reasoned arguments that I reject for frivolous reasons. Here you go again.

You should do the thing with Socrates, first.

You should do the thing with Socrates, first. Which illustrates my point - it's like extracting teeth from you to get you to admit what you will accept as the goal posts for a debate. With the Socrates thing you never did admit that you accept him (Socrates) as an authentic historical figure. You just kind of said, "sure, go ahead." I might present a masterful case, and you'll still have the opening to say "ah, but I never said I thought Socrates was an authentic historical personage, so this all proves nothing."

On the subject of Socrates, I said it didn't matter what I believe. It is entirely up to YOU to show that the historicity of Socrates exists on the same terms as does the historicity of Jesus. For your argument to be complete, you have to establish that both are accepted to be historical figures and the reasoning for this must then be shown to be similar.
If you want to make that argument then you have to do those things -- and it does not matter one bit what I do or don't believe about Socrates.
As to media bias, I think it is all in the eye of the beholder. Lots of studies have been done, but it all comes down to how the data is collected. Conservatives have recently waved about a study showing liberal media bias -- but the study concluded that Drudge was left of center. Pretty hard to swallow that.

Here's part of the reason studies about media bias are always going to be hard to score. Many subjects that are actually mainstream and centrist are going to be scored as liberal. Good examples would be:
Global Warming Homosexuality
Conservatives like to claim that "the science isn't in" and that there is no consensus -- but that is not true. Science has reached consensus on global warming and on homosexuality -- yet conservatives will whine about media coverage of these issues being biased to the left. And, of course, that is exactly what we see all the time -- conservatives crying about their non-scientific, non-reality-based opinions not getting equal coverage.

I don't think you can say that subjects are liberal or conservative, only the opinions people have on those subjects can be described as such. For example, there are both liberal and conservative opinions on the issue of Global Warming. The subject itself is neither one nor the other.
