I originally liked McCain, but now he seems to have tired and aged a bit, and resorted to the regular Republican rhetoric about loyalty, patriotism and scare tactics. Really dissapointing. I'd vote Obama. But I can't. Cause I'm Canadian.

You a relative perhaps? ** runs **

The New York Times reports that: Of course, President Bush on Sep. 20 in 2001 said And gave many interviews on Al-Arabiya. Quite the change in syle and manner there, isn't it?

Quite the change in syle and manner there, isn't it? The difference being that Bush is a proven LIAR. Why do you keep "forgetting" that fact? ...and why do you think it "proper" to flame-bait those who support Obama? It's was old the first time you did it...now it just makes you look bitter.

I'm upset that the press is so obviously biased and still somehow gets away with it.

Candidate Obama last May: "We can't drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times . . . and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK." A New York Times story today gives this little tidbit about a photo of President Obama sitting in the Oval Office without a suit jacket on: "Mr. Obama, who hates the cold, had cranked up the thermostat." He's from Hawaii, O.K.?" said Mr. Obama's senior adviser, David Axelrod, who occupies the small but strategically located office next door to his boss. "He likes it warm. You could grow orchids in there." Of course, the Times ignored the inconsistancy and spun the whole thing as "only the first of many signs that a more informal culture is growing up in the White House under new management. Mr. Obama promised to bring change to Washington and he has--not just in substance, but in presidential style." Goodbye old stick-in-the-mud, hello hip hypocrite!

Are you serious? He's the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES okay?
You don't think that having the most important job in the world is stressful enough? Wouldn't you prefer that your Commander In Chief be as comfortable as possible, given the seriousness and impact of his decision making? Crap, I'd surround him with vestal virgins if it helps him do his job better. (kidding). C'mon Jason, that really is a cheapie...you're really scraping the barrel.

It's not really a serious criticism, no, but then, who can take the whole idea of Global Warming seriously anyway?

I know I should be looking at the "big" picture, but these last two winters have been awfully cold, with lots of snow.

So if there's a consensus it must be true, eh?

Not necessarily... but you asked "who takes it seriously?" so I gave you an answer. But the fact that there is consensus among experts doesn't exactly sway me to your side of the argument.
Those people know a lot about the subject, so whether you like it or not their opinion on this subject carries a lot more weight with me than yours does.
