Some people are saying the latest photographs of Kim Jong-Il are faked. news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/7715458.stmOn the one hand, it wouldn't surprise me if North Korea is faking photographs, but on the other hand, I know that "non-parallel shadows" isn't always a valid argument for fakery. What do people here think?

Don't they have body-doubles for Jong-il? Why would they have to fake the photos when they can just use a double?

Interesting but what would happen if the double went sick, would there be a double for the double? Sadam apparently had a few? One thing I have found out looking through these forums and supporting sites is that I am no expert.
But if you were this megalomaniac wouldn't you have a few real (pictures) ones scattered around taken in good health (or at least standing unaided) to fool the evil West? Especially if you knew they were faked and releasing them to others who can poke and test?

Last month, North Korea released what they said were recent pictures of him, but people were suspicious because he was surrounded by summer foliage and the pictures didn't look like they were taken in autumn.

Ah. Not really following picture releases but thought they might be smarter. Obviously not.
