People kept telling me I'd regret it if I didn't go. I haven't yet! I went to a homecoming once. Not one of my best experiences. But, I'm an awkward nerd, so I'm not much for big crowds and dancing (in front of people, that is.)

I went to half the homecoming game, my senior year. But while I have positive memories of several individuals, my memories of high school as an entity are pretty brutal.

I do wish I'd been able to go to "fake prom." Real prom fell after the yearbook deadline, but they wanted some pictures from the location, so a dozen or so people went in nice clothes and took pictures. It would have been hugely funny to me to have been in the "prom" pictures even without having gone to prom. The word "prom" has now lost all meaning.

There are non-parallel shadows in the pictures, and you can't see stars . . . .
