The air force hires cartoonists? Somebody has to make fun of all those long-haired anti-war hippies.

It's certainly one of the first questions they ask in a psych eval, at any rate.

The classic MI5 persecution website is five.org. The guy is obviously intelligent and the site is pretty well organised. It's by turns sad, scary, funny and odd. You might not want to spend too much time in that particular world. And here's somewhere you REALLY don't want to spend too much time. The rant that is Timecube

When I read stories like these, I have to suppress a feeling of deep despair for the future of the human race, then remind myself that, fortunately, this is a pretty insignificant proportion of the population, thank goodness!

I wonder how many people grew up with a similar story. Dad's that were great when the children were little but become remote and even violent as time when on. It's not such an uncommon story that it requires the invention of a secret order to explain. Except of course when you need to maintain the illusion that what ever happened to withdraw love was forced on the parent. Alcoholism and plain old mental illness quite common causes of this kind of behavior.

I remember many years back a small monthly safety magazine called "TAC Attack", had a regular cartoon series on the last page. Don't remember the name or author though...but it was funny. eta: I do remember the "Here's Jake" series, probably from Airman Magazine...when doing a search, unfortunately, his daughter's rantings come up with troubling regularity.
