I invited David McGowan to BAUT personally to defend his claims. We'll see what he's really made of.
I've spent an hour or so reading through excerpts of McGowan's books and the offerings on his "Center for an Informed America" web site. McGowan certainly seems to think he's uniquely qualified to save American from disinformation. It makes it rather ironic that he ignores a lot of what I say on Clavius, yet dismisses me as "a rather self-important gent."
At least I have the qualifications and experience to back up my statements. All McGowan seems to be able to bring to the table is a recitation of all the things he can't figure out. He can't figure out how the space-suit environmental systems must have worked, so "naturally" they were fake. He doesn't consider that there is knowledge and technique outside his personal realm of understanding.

Sorry PW, all that shows up is the weight loss link. Was there something else? I assume that after one navigates through several pages of the weight loss stuff one is either told the best way to lose weight is to stay transfixed by never ending weight loss pages,,, or,,, asked to buy a book.
Besides, IIRC you are a Kiwi and thus also a flaming liberal and socialist.

Very droll, but as the editor of BreakForNews.com I can assure we are as plagued by unscientific, tinfoil opinions as I'm sure you have been here. But bear in mind that the thread about this on BreakForNews is entitled "Moon Landing Hoax ?" Notice the questionmark. It's there because the senior members on the forum have an inclination to weigh evidence, and THEN decide. Not the other way around. PhantomWolf has kindly dropped in and dodged the flack from those with fixed positions. He's made mostly measured, informative posts which address the issues. Someone posted Dave McGowans Apollo series and we are now debating it. I'm kinda partial to rational, scientific debate. It's what dragged humanity out of the mud. There's a wealth of information here. Congrats on building it.
