Got it, thanks! Now let me think about a program to display it directly in color with full 525-line resolution. Take frame 1 and overwrite the odd red display pixels. Take frame 2 and overwrite the even green pixels. Take frame 3 and overwrite the odd blue pixels, and so on. As Houston did I'll have to manually select the phasing, but in my case it'll be one of 6 possible states instead of 3. Getting the colors right will be easy, but then I'll have to determine odd/even and getting that wrong will show up as reversing each pair of scan lines which will undoubtedly be a lot more subtle.

I tried doing that in photoshop with three sequential pictures and I got it 50% color correct. You will also need to know the abosrbtion value for each filter.
If you are successful I can send you the whole segment which is around 20 minutes long.

I just got my copy too! Woo-hoo! Amazon also accidentally sent me someone else's book order... "Practicing Gospel". Yep... that is definitely not my book. Jason might say it is a sign from God, but no, someone at Amazon screwed up.

Everything I write is already inspiring... isn't it? I've been looking at the the Amazon website and can't figure out how to return it. They only explain how to return something for a refund, but since I didn't pay for it I'm not seeking a refund. The invoice for the intended customer is in the box, so I could ship it directly to him... but that would probably cost me more than the book is worth (he only paid $7 for it).

You can tell that the author must be a pretty honest guy, perhaps even very much so. Just look on page 248. Anyone who was so obviously handsome-ish in his younger days in such a stoutish-older-brother-of-Tom-Cruise kind of way and was less scrupulous than our noble author would have no doubt photoshopped at least two of those chins.

No worries, as they say:

I'm sorry for those of you who couldn't get the author to visit your neck of the woods and personally hand you a signed copy of it.... I jest of course, that was sheer luck on my part. The book is great though, so everyone who's just received, or is about to receive, a copy, enjoy! I did.

Youre lucky dealing with HBs has given me a thick skin, otherwise "I would have to taunt you a second time" (said in French accent ala Monty Python and the Holy Grail).
