Since my last post is appearently being ignored, I guess the answer to this question... Is anyone here "getting" this? ...is no. I guess that I was in error to think that "like minded" individuals posted to this board...bottom line is I don't belong here. This will be my last post.

Can anybody remember the amazing diagrams done by one of the posters either here or BA demonstrating the launch trajectory of one of the Apollo missions as related to the VA belts?
The were very well done and demonstrated how the flights avioded the majority of the belts.
If anyone could point me to those, that would be great.
TIA

Don't let a disagreement like that chase you away. It isn't worth it. Heck, I was just lumped in with creationists and homophobes (ironic because my BS was Biology and have a gay sister ), just because I don't accept the gloom-and -doom of AGW. There will be disagreements. Ignore them and move on.

RAF, don't go!!
I'm not even sure what the disagreement is, I think something happened that seemed more significant to a couple of people than it was to the rest of us.
If you REALLY wanna know what it's like to be on a board where you don't fit in, go play at icke's for a few days. I just spent a couple days there and I think I need to wash my mind. It's infested with paranoid dipsticks with no critical thinking skills who can't be bothered to spell.
Dude, we don't all agree with one another, even those of us here that consider ourselves part of the "us" here. I feel compelled to point out when I DO agree with Jason, for instance.
This is one of the most rational forums I've ever found. The only place I read where people are more polite is Back Yard Chickens.

RAF . . . you insulted me, too, if you're lumping all religious people into the same degree of irrationality. I'm not a Biblical literalist or a creationist or anything along those lines. I just believe in a deity. So you know, I ignored you because I didn't want to express anger I felt was irrelevant to the thread.

Yes, there rational arguments can be made against religion. Belief in ANYTHING is intriniscally irrational. That's why religions make such a big deal out of Faith - for some people surrendering to the irrational gives them a sense of control over the universe.
Doesn't work for me. That's why I consider myself to be a "deep" agnostic. I don't even "believe" you exist. Waking up every day is a test of the "reality" hypothesis.
I don't disagree that Jason tends to be a one-note-charlie. He DOES tend to grate on the nerves. But in this case, he was pointing out another example of bad arguments based on oft-debunked claims, putting everyone with a given set of ideas into the same bucket, and inciting overly emotional reactions instead of presenting reasoned debate.
Again, we don't all agree here. I'm frankly shocked, SHOCKED I tell you, at the number of people here who question global warming in one way or another. But we all come to the table with a different set of experiences and knowledge base and underlying preconceptions that we don't even realize we have. I know I have them. Jason's Mormon faith and Gillian's pagan faith go into the same bucket in my head. Sorry, guys, we're all a bunch of misprogrammed meat machines.
Please. Don't apologize to Jason. But don't go.

Now lets get this straight - you're leaving because we all don't think alike? I know you and Jason have had an on and off running feud over religion the last few years, but face it - 90% of people on this planet belong to some religious faith.

Don't go, for the simple reason is that we are all on this site to discuss, or debate, or disagree, or argue, about Apollo. Not religion.

I might very well be like minded, but I prefer not to get into such (IMHO off topic) discussions on forums like this.

I view this site as a resource for Apollo discussion and to lose a member for non-Apollo related reasons seems a loss for the site in general.
