I think it is some country spying and made the plane look liek a UFO thing so people will not doubt it.. I hesitate to ask, but why do you think that? Do you have any reason for the belief apart from personal speculation?

of course it is speculation, but I find it more reasonable than believing that there are UFOs flying over .. what do you think?

Why is believing in UFOs unreasonable? UFO just means Unidentified Flying Object.

Aren't all sorts of natural phenomena and various mistaken identifications of things like satellites, all of which we know to happen, more plausible than espionage?

satellites can be floating over airports directly? this is how they look?
Unidentified objects,..well it is unidetified but I meant it is not alien spaceship as the media is trying to say.

It is unclear to me how something unidentified can be called an "object" when the term is to some extent an identification. All the video contained was a few still photos. Fakery or manipulation are possibilities as well We can agree on that.

I did a little reading on the subject. The Christian Science Monitor had a much less gullible article than others I found, as I expected. The article suggested a meteorological phenomenon. Not proof, but more plausible at first glance than other speculation.

I didn't get it well what the Christian Science Monitro said. Can you provide any similar phenomena that shows a 'plane' object with lights that has below it projection of light?

You can google 'superior mirages' and get a grasp on what that CSM article is alluding to. Me, I find this whole "event" inconclusive. I'm not sure if the pictures are reliable, whether the pictures and various anecdotal accounts are one and the same, or why the Chinese even allowed something like this to easily slip through their "Bamboo Curtain." The Chinese have stated the "object" has a "military connection" which AFAIK they haven't elaborated on. This is the same country that tried to squelch a "UFO" sighting that very likely did have a military connection back in January. LINKY. I'm not so sold on CM's mirage notion. What they describe does happen but if the pictures are to be believed this would be a really unusual one, even for a Fata Morgana. I really don't have enough info to come up with an"explanation" I'm really comfortable with but if you held a gun to my head I'd tell you I think the whole thing was staged to cover up the Chinese brass monkeying around with a new toy.

Good find Daggerstab. I thought that Chinese 'UFO' looked familiar, just couldn't place it.

What I still can't reconcile about this story is the photo and the closing of the airport. The airplane in the photo could not have caused an airport closing. So there is more to the closing than the photo. Assuming the closing story is true. The whole thing doesn't add up.
