Not necessarily. I was waiting for a Fiestaware pasta bowl, and what I got was a pile of ceramic shards. Sorry for your loss. I was at a antique shop in New Braunfels, TX this past weekend that had a nice selection of Fiestaware. It really does have an attractive design and great, if radioactive, colors. I had to explain to my daughter why it was so expensive for what had once been mass market dinnerware.

It's also generally quite sturdy, which is what floors me about the breakage. Especially because I had bought the thing in order to replace one of our other dishes, which my boyfriend broke. (The changeover to Fiestaware is a slow one, for obvious reasons, but if a dish breaks, we replace it.) It was so much more attractive than the one he broke, too!

Well, I went along. It was not bad. I managed to get Alexei Leonov's autograph on my copy of Two Sides of the Moon, which was good. Tom Stafford's autograph I passed on, since they were asking £120 for it. I'm not that eager to have a signature on my Apollo 10 DVD case. Apart from also meeting Nicholas Parsons and Sylvia Anderson, the highlight really was meeting and chatting to our own dwight, and of course buying a copy of his book. I've started reading it and so far it's an excellent and informative piece of work. I can't quite believe that in 40 years no-one has ever written about the TV of Apollo, but now at least someone has. And he's just as nice in person as he is here, too.

It was pretty cool. I got to chat at great length to Gen. Stafford and he was so appreciative of the book. The best was seeing him read the book while waiting for people to get his autograph. Then I finally got to meet Jason - who is actually the first person from this board I've met in real life!

Well, I got my bookplate in yesterday's mail. It was a delightful break from the exhaustion of moving. Thank you, Dwight.

As I said, I'd love to visit! Now, if we could all just go in on my ticket . . . .
