I just watched a really nice documentary on Apollo on Netflix titled The Wonder of it All. A film that Laurel mentioned in a post in 2009.It is something like an inverse of For All Manking. That is it focuses on the narration of several astronauts going through their individual backgrounds and missions and uses the images to keep illustrate the what the astronauts are saying. It takes a very gentle pace and features segments from the interviews where the astronauts show emotion to develop a feel for their personalities. It has a mood that gives the viewer a Louis Armstrong "What a Wonderful World" type of feeling. It features intervies with Buzz Aldrin, Alan Bean, Gene Cernan, Charles Duke, Edgar D. Mitchell, Harrison Schmitt, John Young and Edgar Mitchell. Well worth the 82 minutes for an Apollo fan or fan of oral history. Streaming or by mail on Netflix.

I'll have to check that one out... as soon as I'm done watching Red Dwarf, of course.
