The optical device being talked about in that video was the sextant. As I told you in my previous reply (#42), the LM had no sextant. The LM had only a Alignment Optical Telescope (AOT). The CM had both an AOT and a sextant. The procedure shown in the video was applicable only to the CM.
And even if the AOT could preform the procedure shown in the video, it lacked the precision to determine position with the accuracy you claim the astronauts should have been able to do. For instance, you keep throwing out numbers giving the LM's position to the nearest arc-second. Do you realize that an arc-second on the surface of the Moon is only about 8.4 meters? Determining position to within that distance would require an instrument with a accuracy of about 0.000001 degree. The AOT measured angles to within of only 0.02 degree. That's no where near good enough.
The bottom line ... Armstrong and Aldrin could not determine their position so please stop pretending like they could. You're not fooling anybody with your bluster and only making yourself look foolish.
