What has happened to BA and BAUT?

They just amalgamated forums with Universe Today so there may be issues.

I have been trying to get on to the BA site and the BAUT site, but am not able to.

Maybe thiss the reason (from Phil's Blog):

Note (added 15:30 Pacific time): due to this being linked from a lot of major sites, the server was getting hammered. I have temporarily turned off comments. Also, the permalink to this page is now a static HTML page instead of a dynamic PHP page, so that server load is reduced. Sorry about this; I’ll put everything back to normal in a couple of horus when things calm down!

Bad Astronomy is hosted on the same server as BAUT. Phil's latest post on the Big Bang has generated a massive amount of publicity across all the big news sites. He got dugg, slashdotted, farked, and then some. So, the server's just been punished in the last couple of days. We're figuring some short and long term solutions to reduce the impact of this on the server.
