And did you know he was Canadian?
Yep. In a Simpsons episode, Canadian sailors taunt Americans calling them "Shatner-stealing Mexico-touchers."
Of course he will always be remembered for his role as Captain James T. Kirk, of the Starship Enterprise.
One of his better roles is in Judgment at Nuremberg.

This is where it went Shatner. 67champ didn't specify which "Bill" he was referring to, and away we went.

Well, okay. One of my favorites of his is "Sole Survivor," a TV movie from 1970. He plays a kiss-up lieutenant in a pretty good little movie.

Isn't everything after 1966 connected to Shatner in some way? He did change the world you know.

Troops...define. The Canadian Navy was involved, if an old associate of mine is correct. Ground troops, I can't say.

The Canadians who served in Vietnam were all volunteers in the U.S. Armed Forces. There was no official government support. I don't see how any Canadian Navy vessel could have been used except in some rescue mission or something like that. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canada_and_the_Vietnam_Warwww.cbc.ca/asithappens/vietnam/Oh, did we have a navy in the Sixties? Checked. Yes we did. And the boat is still going strong. sailing up and down the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

My mistake, it was Korea, not Viet Nam. My memory failed me (I was on the DEWLine with these guys, in fact spent most of my AF career working w/ Canadians...).
