Nowhereman, that is a very long post.
To begin with
I am not so sure. My memory says that he does not and did not like me being critical of BAUT. If I am to discuss this, I will have to first get the green light from him.

Lunar Orbit has expressed that I do not drag this out. If you are referring to the PM I sent you then I'm wondering if you actually read it... it had nothing to do with this thread at all. You're right that I don't want this drawn out. I don't see why anyone here should care that you've been banned from BAUT. Just get over it and quit whining because it's pathetic. If you don't like them why do you care if you can't post there? Maybe you should be more concerned about securing your membership here because right now it's on thin ice too.

My memory says that he does not and did not like me being critical of BAUT. It's not that I disapprove of people being critical of BAUT, but what do you expect to happen? Do you think anyone here has the ability to reverse your banishment? Do you think anyone here even cares? When have you ever taken my thoughts into consideration? Why start now?

Lunar Orbit has expressed that I do not drag this out. Refuted by LO, though I have to agree I don't see the point in dragging it on. No, I told another poster that their suggestion that you joined up with the BAUT was mistaken because you couldn't due to being banned. This is a fact. I don't particularly care if you like that or not, the facts are you have been repeatedly banned there, even ignoring the first set of puppets. If you don't like it take it up with BA because frankly I'm not interested in your whining that you were poorly treated. if anyone does care, they are free to go and read the situation themselves via the previous links. And no I'm not going to respond to this further.

When have you ever taken my thoughts into consideration? Why start now? I thought I had. So if I was wrong I will start now. You could start by responding to the PM I sent you earlier, and by removing the anti-Mormon link from your signature.

Also, as far as being a great website, it would be very easy for them to make sure no one abuses their service as someone here has. How, pray tell? The BAUT forum is a public message board, and like all such has very little capability in the way of verifying that you are who you say you are. That is not true.
It is simple to verify if someone is connected to an email address. In fact I do it on my forum. All you have to do is send an email to someone asking for confirmation of their account. They did not do this. Instead, they simply let someone sign up AND THEN make a post without me getting a chance to say "HEY, that is not me". I am glad you two are making these posts of the "rules" because it has helped me go over these things. I was stunned when Wolverine banned me for not answering questions "in a timely manner". Because it was a popular discussion thread and there was a flood of questions. I started to wonder if those people had jobs. When I mentioned that, he even used THAT against me as well. I can understand it must be a tough job wrangling such a huge website and that must add to making decisions to ban people for "not answering questions". If I were in his shoes, I might do the same thing. There was a lot of traffic.

LO was nice enough to unlock this so I could post this resolution to the issue. ToSeek on the BAUT did an experiment to see if he could create an account and post without verifying the e-mail address and discovered that he could indeed do so. Fraser then checked the settings and discovered that the e-mail confirmation either had not been set or had unset during one of the forum software updates and so has set it once more. This can all be found here.Whether it was the same person or not, there is another Poster on the BAUT who possibly made a string of usernames and just used a single post for each that has the same IP as the person that created the BT_Washington username. I'm sure that the team there will deal with it appropriately. That said I am sure that LO can relock this again if required to stop it getting out of hand, that is unless Bill wants to apologise to people for his accusations and claims.

OK, Fred, I am going to see what happens. It would be way easy for them to just look up the IP Address of whomever first signed up and compare it with existing members. Let's see what happens. There is a down-side to fame. The bigger you get the more crazies you have to deal with. I would like to get an email from them saying they know who did it, or an apology or something. As far as being paranoid. You have to admit, this is pretty freaky and can you blame me? It would be a disservice to just blow off this guy. And I mean a disservice to the perpetrator especially. Also, as far as being a great website, it would be very easy for them to make sure noone abuses their service as someone here has. If it was a joke, let me say this. Comedians pretend to be other people they want to make fun of all the time. Assuming their identity and expecting people will really think they are these people is going too far. I actually did send an email to the only address I could find at the time, but it was the wrong one. This has now been fixed, and Bill and I have been communicating. For some reason email confirmation got disabled on BAUT. It is now enabled again, which should keep this from happening in future. The IP address used at registration for BT_Washington matches that of BAUT member "Planet X Man", who is another jokester who only posted once and who used an obviously fake email address, so there's no way of tracking him down. But again, that loophole has been closed.

BAUT has been helpful and has responded to my emails prompty. I very much appreciate this.
