Yeah, and the courtiers of King Canute thought he could command the tide to stop too. He could command the tide to stop. Okay, technically true. So what I should have said was they thought it would obey.

I'm not sure how I'm supposed to take that. I'm thinking it's a joke, right?

I'm not sure how I'm supposed to take that. I'm thinking it's a joke, right? It must be, because it should be "fewer" instead of "less."

Maybe FEMA finally got around to rounding them all up for the Death Camps.

It's way too dangerous in these times to entertain such CT topics.

THAT's the answer! NASA has gotten to them all, and applied the hoof-and-mouth disease cure!

It's way too dangerous in these times to entertain such CT topics. I guess that is why Alex Jones, Dylan Avery, Korey Rowe, Jack White, Bart Sibrel, and the rest are all still walking about free and able to sell thier baloney to anyone gullible enough to buy it.

The people who discuss religion in those threads are intelligent, articulate, and very strong in their respective beliefs. They obviously enjoy discussing their beliefs with other intelligent and articulate people.
The overall culture of this forum is polite, respectful, and honest. It's a self-selecting population group. People who don't fit into the dominant culture stop posting. Like any self-selecting population, everyone came in from a different direction and point of origin, but they keep coming back for what the group as a whole has to offer.
Heck, even I still read here! I don't give a rat's left leg about lens flare debates, and I don't have the intellectual energy right now to discuss faith issues with Jason and DH, but I check in once in a while to see how everyone is doing.
Self-selecting groups are very interesting. I've been reading a blog, and it's okay, but the really interesting thing is that the comments have become a single-thread forum of sorts. There are about half a dozen regular posters. The discussions in it have very little to do with the content of the blog entries. There's even a 9-11 conspiracy guy!
BTW, inconceivable: Patriot Act has nothing to do with it. Even if the "evil gub'mint" had time to read every thread of every forum on the web, they'd still goof it up.

To all our Brit MEMBERS. (to tie into thread)
If anyone of you haven't ever seen a hockey game, the Los Anegeles Kings are playing the Anaheim Ducks (Stanley Cup Champions) RIGHT NOW in London. It's the first NHL game ever played in England. Maybe you can watch it on television.

I stopped posting and viewing the site for a while because my real life has gotten pretty busy and I just didn't have the time or energy to devote to posting.
Surprise! I'm back!
I'm very interested in theology and this forum has been a great place for me to develop my opinions and beliefs.
