I usually don't do thread necromancy, however... After four years of work and nine months of gestation, my (well, our) paper has been accepted for publication by Physical Review Letters. It's a big plus point on my CV!

I thought I might post a couple of pictures from my graduation ceremony. This is me on campus, in the ceremonial robes (I am using this picture as my avatar on the BAUT forum). (Oh yes, I am smug!) And this is me with a look of pain on my face. We were doing the departmental photographs, and this was the "hats thrown in the air" pictures. One of those bloody square hats managed to hit me straight on my head with a corner. (You can see the hat that hit me in the lower left corner of the picture.) [ Edit: Oh for google's sake, why is it so complicated to add pictures!]
