Props to Jack White for this observation. Look at the right hand landing pad. There appears to be pictures. Perhaps they were placed there by a whistle-blower. One picture appears to be as11-40-5948. The other appears to be an astronaut, on the moon, with his helmet removed. Is this the coup-de-grace for Apollo?

The object on the left looks like a shiny piece of metal or foil to me. The other object does look like a photograph, possibly of Buzz Aldrin... but I don't see anything suggesting it was taken on the Moon. It almost looks like a picture of Buzz standing in front of a military jet. But maybe it's just me imagining things... it could just be another reflective piece of metal that just happens to look like a person.

I think it is just the thin insulation sheets that have been torn and folded back. I believe the insulation was made of aluminized mylar. The mylar gives the gold colored appearance on one side and the aluminum the metallic appearance on the other. I'm sure we're just seeing some sort of reflection on the aluminized surface.

The "gold" insulation is matte silver on the back. The "picture" is nothing but a strip of aluminized Kapton that has been folded back. Pareidolia is not your friend.

This thread is rather old, but I feel tempted to ask, if NASA was doing this big cover up, why would they place pictures by the lander? Don't argue that some sort of worker who was in on the hoax and wanted to secretly tell everyone about it put those there, do you have any idea how lucky he'd have to be for no one at all to notice those? Besides, surely he could've used something a bit more obvious and that didn't look exactly like light reflecting off of silver foil.

Ah, no. You obviously either are too simple and/or gullible to understand. The hoax is all-pervasive, all-knowing, able to look decades ahead to buffalo scientific advances, and seamless and perfect in its ability to fool or subvert thousands of engineers and scientists. It is also absolutely riddled with thousands of bits planted by full-time whistleblowers, and with many elementary errors of composition and consistency. They also repeated the hoax several times in case the chances of slipping up once weren't high enough.
Got all that? ;-)
