I added up all of the Soviet and AMerican mission/man-hours from Mercury/Vostok, to Apollo/Soyuz. With 2 flights each, the Soviets enjoyed a 50 to 1 advantage over the Americans. This was of course easy to do since the first two Mercury flights were suborbital, and the Soviets achieved orbit from the start. By the end of the Voskhod series, the Soviets still enjoyed a 10 to 1 advantage. However, by Gemini 5, the Americans had taken the lead in man hours in space. Their lead would climb to a ratio of over 5-1 in the USA's favor by the time Apollo 11 returned to Earth. BS is full of crap. Ranb

It's a shame that someone's BS can profit from youthful ignorance. Mind you, as P.T. Barnum loved to say, "A fool and his money are soon parted". And I can certainly respect people for separating fools and their money, were it not for the defamation issue. What's odd here is that PT Barnum's customers often figured out when they'd been had...
