The wife and I are planning on vacationing in Fla. later this winter.
We will start in Orlando. She wants to see the Keys and I want to see the Kennedy Space Center. I can read a map but just what is the driving time and what is the highway like to do this? Orlando to Kennedy is about 4 hours? another 4 to the Keys?
Also, although I cannot even imagine being in Fla. and not seeing KSC the wife does not share this passion. Anyone know a nice lounge where she can wait while I take a tour? ;D

Orlando to KSC is less than an hour's drive, depending on where in Orlando you are. Pretty direct route. Orlando to Key Largo (northern end of the Keys) is about 5 hours. 7 hours to Key West. Mostly interstate highway driving until you reach Key Largo.
You can drop the missus in Titusville while you check out KSC. There is a decent downtown shopping district. Boutiques, small restaurants, etc. Give her the AmEx and tell her to go crazy.
Anything else I can help with, let me know.
