I've finally withdrawn from the David Icke forum. I PM'd a mod and asked for my account to be deactivated.
The level of discourse there is pretty low. Some interesting people post there but the 9/11 and Apollo hoax posters are uniformly ignorant of basic science, logical discourse and technology in general.
I invited people to discuss the moon landing and other technical issues here. I hope a few people manage to get away from the paranoid fear and ignorance prevalent (and ubiquitous) at DIF.

Scientists should post great big signs around their area stating "Control Group - do not feed."
If I were kidding, I'd use a smiley. I'm not.

Interesting thought experiment. I'd like to know how much thrust it would take to change the earth's orbit.
Anyone wanna model the Earth as a ship in Orbiter?

o.k, the flag poting was not an proof of a hoax, rather undecent way of treating the audience. Imagine taping a flag today in this manner on a model LM.. it wouldn't be decent.. that's all.. but it indicates some uncaring for the mission... but it is not proof. The dreaded "taped-on flag" has reared it's ugly head at DIF. I have some questions that some of you might be able to help with. 1) The tape used for the flag was the same tape used to secure the Kapton wrapping on the descent stage. Correct? 1.5) Is there anyone who knows what formulation of adhesive this tape used? 2) The Kapton covering was installed by Grumman before shipping the LM to NASA. Was the US flag and "UNITED STATES" applied by Grumman or was that done by NASA after they took possession? 3) was there a formal "christening" ceremony for the Lunar Modules?

Correct usage is all punctuation goes "inside the quotation marks." Internet grammar varies somewhat, and often I put punctuation outside the marks if it helps the visual look.
I used to make signs for a living. Signage uses different rules, so that the reader will be engaged with the message and not get confused.
Quotation marks are overused on the internet. I'm proud to be part of the problem, not part of the solution.

I'll pay one thin dollar at redbox to see it, no more. In fact, I may suggest someone else pay.

Is metapedia for real? I looked at the "moon hoax" article and it appeared to have been written by trained macaques. I've seen better grammar from my ADHD 10 year old.

Sure! DIF is experiencing a dorsal-ventral inversion again, and I have to make a bunch of pie, but I'll try again later.

The gold visors came up at one point because someone (don't remember) was arguing about the color of the moon. This was in the "aussie genius" thread at Delusional Idiots. www.utilisegold.com/assets/file/utilisegold/pdf/Langley_4_4.pdfThis report states that some of the "gold" film was actually gold, not aluminum viewed through the amber kapton as described recently by JayUtah - specifically on the rover camera, batteries and some of the ALSEP stuff. The yellow color of the electroplated gold film is reflective, not transmissive. The electroplated gold layer is just a thin smear of metal particles, each opaque. I'll try to hunt down some of the information. It's interesting if like that kind of thing.

The visor was also coated with gold to give a color-neutral light reduction. Aluminum, also a good IF reflector, gives a bluish (if I remember - I looked it up a while ago) cast to the light that comes through.

Welcome to ApolloHoax, az09. You have some threads back at DIF that have been mostly ignored by the users there, maybe you could present some of that information here.
