And judging by that video, it was sometime in the mid 1990's. I'd prefer a TARDIS. I'm not a SpaceX fanboy, I just thought I'd share the video with the inhabitants of this forum, is all.

I have mixed feelings about SpaceX -- they make too many elementary mistakes to be a credible contender. SpaceX are viewed by many as the saviour of the US space industry and can do no wrong, so I'd be very interested if you'd expand upon this please?

Paint the main fuel tank orange and you have Ares V.

The 2nd one on the list is this, if the LK smashed into to CSM when it launched back into lunar orbit, how in heck did anyone get the film and video back to look at and post on the website mentioned in the beginning of the movie? I expect that will be explained in the, box office permitting, sequel.

I would say the part where the rocks come alive and attack people. Forgot about that bit, which was silly to say the least. Rocks coming to life and attacking people was handled much better in the Doctor Who story "The Stones of Blood" with Tom Baker.

So which part of the movie is more improbable? A secret Saturn V launch or a working N1 rocket?
I'd say the secret launch.

(Even assuming someone who demonstrably couldn't understand Russian could get the LK off the Moon in the first place ;D) You have a problem with THAT, in a movie where the US made a secret launch of an Saturn V Rocket AND the Soviet Union had a working N1 AND could make a moon shot / landing?
