Bob and LunarOrbiter,
Thanks for the welcome. I have been looking over several of the threads the last week or so. As I said, I hope to contribute in the future.
Bob, it looks like we may be "Twin Sons of Different Mothers." ;D
I grew up in Dayton and went to Orville Wright Grade School and Wilbur Wright High School (When it was still a high school and when it still actually existed). Moved down to Waynesville when I got married.
Again, thanks for the welcome

Hi everyone. I just joined last week and this is my first post.
My real name is Jeff and I work for a company called Belcan in Northern Cincinnati. Specifically I work in the CFD/Aero/Acoustics group of the Advanced Engineering & Technology Division. Most of our work is for GE Aviation but we also do work for GE Energy and for Rolls and Pratt.
I have a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Wright State University and an M.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Dayton.
I started my career as an aerodynamicist for the Conceptual Aircraft Design group at Wright Patterson AFB. I was there from 1983 to 1999. In 1999 I left engineering to teach physics at an all girls college prep school in Northern Cincinnati named Ursuline Academy. In 2007 I came back to engineering and wound up at Belcan.
I was 11 when Apollo 11 landed and I had been following the space program for years before that. Basically as long as I can remember. The space program spurred my interest in engineering.
Well that's it. I hope to contribute to the forums as time allows,
