David Handschuh And he lived to tell about it. Any burn-marks? Exactly. The guy said a wave of heat, he didn't say how hot. The fact that it didn't burn him is important. The air was hotter than ambient, but not THAT hot. It would be strange if the air wasn't hotter. The fire, the materials being crushed, and the compression of the air by the pancaking floors would all have raised the temperature of the air being squeezed from the collapsing building.
