In the UK the Diana conspiracy is frequently publicised by the Daily Express, typically a huge front-page headline followed by a story that says very little.
It all bring to mind an exchange from a long-forgotten comedy sketch show:
"How can you prove you're insane?"
"Daily Express?"
"That'll do nicely"

In any case, the fact still remains that if she'd worn a seatbelt, she would've likely survived the crash. ...and I can see that the "seatbelt question" will more than likely be ignored by those claiming a conspiracy...not that I'm surprised by that.

"Before she died in a car crash, Princess Diana wrote: "My husband is planning 'an accident' in my car, brake failure and serious head injury...to make the path clear for him to marry." If she really believed that, she would surely have worn a seat belt. The Duchess of York was a major embarrassment to the royal family, and she's still alive. For my money, Prince Charles' opinions on several subjects are pretty embarrassing, too.

Heres' a question: Why did Trevor Rees-Jones put on his seat belt just prior to the accident when Princess Diana, a devoted user of seat belts, did not? You would think a bodyguard will only put his belt on after his charge does, and if he senses danger.

Maybe he was aware of the inherent danger of riding in any car and wisely wore his seat belt.

Do you have any evidence that he did not suggest using seat belts to his passengers, or that it is considered the passenger's responsibility to either wear one or not wear one? I know that when adults get in my car with me I do not demand that they wear one, they are adults and privy to the same information about the ability of belts to save lives as I am, and they are adults who are capable of making decisions on their own. Now if Diana were an 8 year old that would be another situation entirely.

Now if Diana were an 8 year old that would be another situation entirely. From CNN's Larry King Live ( source): VAN SUSTEREN: Why weren't you wearing a seat belt, and why wasn't anybody else, do you think? REES-JONES: I can't answer for the others; I can answer for myself. I wouldn't have been wearing one, because it's not what we practice to do, so I needed freedom of movement within the vehicle, and obviously, I was pleased for myself when it was reported I wasn't wearing one. REES-JONES: You know, I don't know what happened in that vehicle, so I can't comment on what happened. All I can say is what happened with Dodi, that when I drove Dodi around London, that I didn't wear a seat belt because of work and Dodi didn't either. He's a 42-year-old man. I can't force him into doing things. When we left the town at speed, then seat belts were put on. That's all I can say about that. VAN SUSTEREN: Would you have felt comfortable -- or would you have told the princess put on a seat belt? REES-JONES: If I felt the vehicle was going such a speed, a speed that was, you know, it was dangerous and going to cause an accident, I think I would have done both. I would have told the driver to slow down, you know, and gotten them to wear seat belts. But that's another "if only" and "what if." I don't know what happened, so I can't speculate about that. It may be "inconceivable" but the evidence from the wreckage and where she was found within it is that she was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Yeah but the same person claims that G W Bush is too, and that's ridiculous, I mean, just look at the guy. Anyone who has halfabrain can see that he's not a reptile, he's a genetically engineered chimpanzee.
