At my school I've somehow become the "go-to" guy for information on conspiracy theories, and a little while ago I was approached by someone asking me about the Denver International Airport. I've been to the airport a few times and all I really remember is it's distinctive roof design. However, apparantly there are some strange things about the airport that leave people curious. I don't know much, but what I've heard is that there is some freemason mural there, one of the terminals is shaped like a swastika, and there were at one time lots of strange murals. Does anybody know anything of interest concerning the airport, or could point me in the way of some info?

I saw pictures of the mural years ago... can't remember the story behind it though. Edited to addHere is the mural: It looks to me like it depicts the end of war and world peace. From Wikipedia:

If you look really hard at this Google map of the Denver Airport, and ignore a bunch of stuff, you will see the vague shape of a swastika. Switch over to the satellite view, and you will see a jumble of paved surfaces, and with great imagination and a desire to see Nazi's everywhere you will see a swastika. It just depends on how much you need to see something in the image regardless of what is there. Anyway, swastikas are of Indian origin, so maybe the airport is pointing out that all the jobs in America are being outsourced to India.

I've been to Denver airport, and all I really remember is the wierd roof and the nifty statue of Jack Swigert (Apollo 13's command module pilot).
A swastika would probably be a pretty efficient design for an air terminal.

With prevailing North or South winds, KDEN is very efficient. They normally depart on runways 8,25 and 17R while landing 16L/R.
Keeping all that tarmac, taxiway and runway surface clear of snow during a storm is another story...

It does seem like a swastika shape is a workable design to give each room a window some space for a view. A desirable feature for most buildings.
From the article posted by laurel.
So the government strong arms the building owner into spending a sizable sum of money to modify a building, which is functional in housing old folks because a political group living in the past prefers to argue over its shape rather than its function. Why don't people just grow up.

Swastikas seem to be a convenient shape for architecture. It's a shame the symbol has such negative connotations.

This was the second item in my search. I think I'll just stop there and get back to work before my colleges wonder what I am snorting at. Thanks for the laugh.

If one actually looks at the Google Earth image of the airport it takes a bit of creativity to see a swastika. Apparently there is a fountain in Belgium and a junction the US (Tennessee IIRC) that people think are swastikas as well

Is it almost in the shape of a camel?
