It's possible (though not necessarily so) that this year could be the third major disaster on Dec 26th. Well let's see, around that date we had landslides in Indonesia, the bridge in Nepal, a plane crash in Panama, a collapsed building in Egypt. Your prediction is a few disasters short...

Did the prophets say anything about the assassination of Benazir Bhutto?
(crickets)
No, I didn't think so.

I think we're talking about one that will cost hundered of thousands if not millions of lives. that clearly didn't happen this year. But you know, the year isn't over yet...

In 2007, Chinese soldiers will not emerge from tunnels in New York City, but the prediction that Chinese soldiers will emerge from tunnels in New York City in 2007 will remain correct. The first part is looking good so far. Rusty, what's your take on part two?

It means that it was defintely predicted, even if it didn't come to pass.

So a prediction is correct if it was simply made? It doesn't have to actually happen?

No, I mean it's absolutely correct that the prediction was made.

As amazing as it may be, these so called prophets' batting average is worse than the Black Caps during their last tour of South Africa and Australia.

No, I mean it's absolutely correct that the prediction was made. My prediction is "lazarusty isn't playing with a full deck." And it's absolutely correct.

Jason's Predictions:
In 2007 a famous figure, who touched the lives of millions, will die. The world will mourn for a few days, then move on. Bhutto assasinated.
In 2007 catastrophic disasters, among them earthquakes and floods, will occur in "third world" nations. The U.S. will send much aid, but Europe will give them no credit for their generosity.
The insurance industry faced $75 billion of losses from natural catastrophes during 2007.The number of natural catastrophes tallied 950 this year. The worst catastrophes in 2007 hit Asia, with 3,300 deaths in Bangladesh from Cyclone Sidr, but the biggest losses to the insurance industry came from Europe after the Kyrill winter storm, Munich Re said. Kyrill caused $10 billion of damage, leaving insurers to foot the bill for $5.8 billion of that, it said. There was also about $8 billion of damage from a pair of summer floods in England. Insurers took on a $6 billion hit. The U.S. never gets credit for aid given, so I'll leave that one as it is.
In 2007 the Palestinian-Israeli conflict will flare up again. Attacks will continue against the Israelis and they will kill many Palestinians - no permanent solution will be found. A series of conflicts between Palestinian militants and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in mid-May 2007. More than 220 Qassam rocket attacks on Israel (Sderot and the western Negev) in over a week were responded to by the IAF with several airstrikes. The fighting came amid serious Palestinian factional violence. Hamas said they will continue to retaliate against Israeli strikes. Israel has also arrested Hamas officials in the West Bank, including two cabinet members
In 2007 several famous U.S. politicians will declare their candidacies for President of the United States. Some will immediately fall into trouble with scandals, some will be unable to escape their past, and some will seem unstoppable. Some famous names here? Joe Biden Hillary Clinton Chris Dodd John Edwards Rudy Giuliani Mike Gravel Mike Huckabee Duncan Hunter Dennis Kucinich John McCain Barack Obama Ron Paul Bill Richardson Mitt Romney Fred Thompson
Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton was said to have a lesbian relationship with her aide, Huma Abedin. Someone else vilified Clinton’s central Republican opponent, former mayor of New York Rudy Giuliani: an anonymous individual wrote on his or her blog that Giuliani’s wife was involved in a program to kill innocent puppies to test medical products.
Other front runners - Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson - are less popular in dirty election tricks. They were smeared as a Mormon and a corrupt playboy respectively. Barack Obama was portrayed as a Muslim extremist despite his Christian beliefs, The Times reports.
Experts say that the current campaign promises to become the dirtiest one in the history of the United States. It is always cheap and very easy to malign an adversary than to convince electors in their virtues.
In 2007 the war in Iraq will continue, but the death of Saddam will serve as a catalyst. The Iraqi people will begin to see that the old ways will never return and begin to gain hope in a positive future. The U.S. mainstream media, however, will continue its song of "doom, gloom, and quagmire." I think Jason would say that this prediction is absolutely on the money.
In 2007 a fantastic new astronomical discovery will be made that will change the way we think about the universe.
Pluto is no longer a planet! Our solar system has one less planet now.
In 2007 a serial killer will strike several times but will be caught and prosecuted.
An Illinois prosecutor on Thursday announced a seventh murder charge against a longtime prison inmate suspected of killing nine women in four states between 1977 and 1982. The charge against Timothy Krajcir in a 1978 slaying froze efforts to extradite the man to Missouri, where he was charged this month with killing five women in Cape Girardeau. A hearing on the extradition issue had been set for Thursday in Missouri but was canceled.,
I think you should ask Jason what will happen in 2008!

Well, it would seem that Lazarusty could rely on you a lot more for accurate predictions. There's no accounting for taste, eh Jason?
Joke: How can you tell if an obscene phone caller is Canadian? He starts out by saying, "Excuse me, hope I haven't called at a bad time. You don't mind if I ask you a few questions eh?"
