Testament to the Power of Prayer Maybe people do not pray hard enough. I have found that if I pray each day and I pray with conviction, my prayers are answered. Here is one thing that I have been praying about and it has come true.

He had no real chance of winning the Democratic nomination anyway - not with Hillary waiting for her chance. Obama-mania has just made it even less likely.

Methinks, it would have been far better if he had run for President again ( a loosing proposition if there ever was one) so the people of Massachusetts could have elected a new senator and we would have been rid of him for good. As it is either he has demonstrated good political instincts or his potential backers weren't returning his phone calls.
The Dem race this year will be a feast for political junkies. The Rep race will be a contest to see who can step the most gently through the political minefields of Iraq.

I don't know if I like Obama or not - like you said, he doesn't have enough baggage to really make a determination of what kind of President he would be, which allows people to see him as whatever they want him to be. Maybe he would be great, maybe not. Nobody really knows.

I pray every day, too, but my boyfriend still isn't home--and Bill hasn't stopped making political posts, either.

I guess as long as she does not express her view on any issue the better. Maybe that is the game. Don't express your opinion. It is all about image.

Should we all start singing Bam, Bam Obama to the tune of LaBamba?

Should we all start singing Bam, Bam Obama to the tune of LaBamba? What does "Bam" mean? It has already been done. Rush Limbaugh had a recording of Senator Kennedy stumbling over his own words trying to pronounce Barac Obama and getting confused with Osama bin Laden then asking "..what is his name". Rush set it to "LaBamba" and it matched pretty well. It was intended to make Kennedy sound like a bumbler rather than disrespecting Obama.

I guess it could mean bam as in hit or it could be bam as in Obama, depending on your perspective on the man.
Kennedy used to be a great speaker, age, and perhaps substance abuse, have left him a little tongue tied, err ahh. Leave it to Limbaugh to be the first with a joke.

I pray every day, too, but my boyfriend still isn't home--and Bill hasn't stopped making political posts, either. Perhaps you aren't praying correctly. Are you using goat entrails? I would like to point out that the Roman Empire fell to crap after Constantine outlawed worshipping the old gods. That's how I feel about the power of prayer - that and 4 bucks gets you a latte.

Kennedy used to be a great speaker... How interesting. When was that and what speech did he make that was great?

I was covering my bases with the customs of 13 different religious sects to make sure Kerry would not run again. My rituals included covering my named body with pig bile and chicken entrails while dancing to Mojo Nixon 5 times a day.
