PW - This thread was about Jesus and the myths - not specifically about the Bible. On my last post I clarified that one part was not about Jesus in particular, and another part 'sort of related'. I was pointing out that myth elements of other cultures were adapted into Christianity, but was perhaps a bit off thread, as they happened many years after Jesus lived. My original thread (all but ignored so far on this thread) was about finding evidence of the so called similarities between Jesus and other myths, be it Dionysius, Horus etc.

While true, since the major source is the four Gospels, and that is what was arround at the start, that's the information that really should be looked at, rather then what has been added in 600-700 years later. If Jesus was based on myths then it should be the things the early church considered him to be that should be the standard.
