I would have thought that Sir Edmund Hillary dying was a bigger hit for that prediction than Heath Ledger. The rest of the world has already moved on, it's just taking us Kiwis a few more days.

Yeah, you're right. Put me down for two hits then.

If the world is still mourning a week from tomorrow, I'm going to have to say your prediction was wrong. He'll at least get a mention in the Oscar telecast, if there's an Oscar telecast this year.

Yeah, you're right. Put me down for two hits then. Hang on there, buckaroo. You said " A famous figure, who touched the lives of millions, will die." If two (or more) such figures die, that means you're wrong. No hit for you! ;D

Obviously I meant "a" in the plural sense.

Obviously I meant "a" in the plural sense. Just as the queen says "we" in the singular sense. ;D

I've got another hit, or at least, one on the way. I predicted "More than one political figure in the Middle East will be assassinated this year."
On the 25th Captain Wissam Mahmoud Eid, a terrorism investigator who had been involved in the forensic investigation of former Lebanese premier Rafik Hariri was killed.
If one more political figure is assassinated in the Middle East this year then my prediction was accurate.

Just to be disagreeable, I'd have to say that a "terrorism investigator" is not a political position -- so your prediction is not accurate.

Tough crowd... I'm happy I didn't commit too strongly to which leg the pope would break

Jason isn't being vague enough in his predictions. He should have said "authority figure" or "notable person" or something of that nature.

I think someone investigating the assassination of a former premier is a political figure.

I predict this forum is going to undergo some drastic changes in the very near future. I predict there will be some people who aren't entirely happy about it, and others who will like it very much.

Is that a prediction, a promise, or a threat?
