i have this idea running in my head for a couple of days now .. im gonna lay it on you people to see if i can gather some interest.
the basic idea is as follows .. conspiracy buffs tend to rely on bad science put together in entertaining ways to spread their beleifs. an example would be those moon movies made up of photos explained badly by some narrator with a deep voice .. my idea would be to make such a film in the exact same format (we might have to dumb down the real science a bit) with narrator, but the goal would be to debunk most of the moon landing claims and try to bring some credible proof ...in an entertaining way
if such a film already exists please let me know about it .. it would save me alot of trouble
i am a professional CGI special effects artist so i know a thing or two about what it takes to make images look real and i can have acces to the facilities needed to accomplish such a film
if anyone is interested in getting involved in a project like that, maybe in the different required fileds like writing, research, video/sound editing or even if you have a nice deep voice .. i shouldn't do it because im from quebec and i got this subtle french accent going on and that, as stupid as it may seem, might make us lose credibility (its a french sub-conspiracy to regain the colonies .. you never know...)
this would be on a totally non-profit basis, distributed on the web for free (because beleive it or not i heard the argument "the guy who did loose change is giving it for free on the web .. why would he do that if it wasnt true .. so .. free on the web it is ! )
anyways .. i was just testing the grounds to see the interest in a project like this
thanks !!

There has been some effort already to produce programs debunking the moon hoax. One television program featured our own JayUtah ( IMDB listing) and I know of another that’s currently in production. Of course these are for-profit productions, so I’m sure they won’t be available for free on the Web. If this project takes off, I could probably help out with research or as an advisor, but beyond that I have no particular skills that would be useful in the production of a video.

i will sure try to find that film .. dvd or otherwise .. thanks for the heads up on this one ! and thanks for the offer to help in what you can do its very much appreciated ! i guess the first thing im gonna do is start gathering is the best unedited hirez pictures and videos of the hoax claim pictures .. (crosshairs, footprints etc...) and other pictures with the same phenomena that the hoaxsters dont usually see ... i know all the pictures and videos have a specific code but im not that familiar with what pictures are what and where and from what mission .. helping me clarify that would be a great start !

Jay can tell you more, but I believe the program was originally produced a Canadian or British company. The IMDB listing is by the original non-US title. The program aired in the United States on the National Geographic channel under the title Conspiracy: Moon Landing. In fact, NGC just re-ran the program a couple weeks ago.

I believe that Jay has just done some stuff with a new show called Debunked as well, so you could ask him about it, though I'm not sure what he can say prior to it screening.

I really like the idea a lot. There seem to be more anti Apollo videos than pro Apollo, so I think it would be nice to try and even it up. I'd love to help out, but i'm not sure what I could do. I'm an artist as well and I work for a small independent game company, but I wouldn't really consider myself a professional CGI artist. I also lack a deep voice, but I'm sure if I started smoking 24/7 for the next several months I could work up a nice deep, gritty sounding voice

There are actually a huge number of pro-Apollo videos and movies, but what I think you are really meaning is an anit-Hoax video.

does anyone know of a good ressource for the videos ? there are some videos on that site but most are very lowres Well I believe you can always cantact some department at NASA and for a fee(?) you can get better quality footage. www.spacecraftfilms.com/ also did an amazing job cleaning up the footage. I have yet to see any of the dvd's myself, but they look really nice. I don't know if one can use there footage though, at least not without some sort of fee and or agreement I think. I don't really know the legalities about all that.

Hello everyone, It's a pleasure to discover this forum. i have this idea running in my head for a couple of days now .. mndwrp, I've had similar thoughts recently. If you, James, and others are interested, lets find a quiet place to bounce some ideas around. No shortage of excellent resources available already, but I find the notion of short, pointed clips that could be set loose on the web, oddly appealling. I'm an illustrator with 25+ years of experience in traditional and digital media, primarily as a conceptual space artist. I've got some broadcast and musical background too, and may well have the voice James mentioned, cigarettes and all. I was impressed with the way members of this group handled it's little odyssey into the Loose Change forums' HB thread, (yes, I slogged through that whole thing last night, amazing what you can get done when you are supposed to be working) They were amazingly gentle, firm, and patient. Really patient. Well done!. Bob B mentioned this- "One television program featured our own JayUtah and I know of another that’s currently in production." I'm very interested in hearing more about upcoming projects of this nature, either commercial or humanitarian. m

Bob B mentioned this- "One television program featured our own JayUtah and I know of another that’s currently in production." I'm very interested in hearing more about upcoming projects of this nature, either commercial or humanitarian. I don't know if it is proper to reveal what I know about the upcoming project since it is as yet unannounced. Without saying specifically who's involved, I was recently contacted by a US production company working for one of the educational television networks. I was told they're producing a TV program to debunk the moon hoax theory. They inquired about possibly interviewing me but nothing became of it because I'm geographically too far out of their way. I was at least able to help by suggesting some names.

It's improper to discuss unannounced works in progress publicly, but if you'll give me the details in a PM I'll either confirm or deny that it was the same company for which I recently did some work.

i have this idea running in my head for a couple of days now .. im gonna lay it on you people to see if i can gather some interest. ... anyways .. i was just testing the grounds to see the interest in a project like this thanks !! Sounds like a great idea. Don't have any video editing experience, but over recent months I've had lots of fun analyzing "anomolies" on Apollo photo's, namely ones purported by "Hoax Theory" sites (e.g. http://www.aulis.com) to prove that the Apollo landings were faked. I'm not particulalry enamoured with the owners of the Aulis site as they have refused to take my name off their website, so would very happily assist in a "Hoax Debunking" video. To give you a taste of the kind of thing I can do, check out www.aulis.com/jackstudies_1a.htmlI've done some analysis of the video sequence of the "Jump Salute" compared to the still photos taken of the same sequence, and can quite easily debunk the HBs claims that the video and stills footage were taken at different times (even better - that the astronaut in the still photo was NOT being suspended by a wire!!!) I don't have any professional experience in the field, just what I've taught myself, from an open-minded perspective (initially not trying to prove or disprove authenticity of footage, by trying to find out the truth for myself). I suppose my "speciality" for want of a better word, would be debunking "photographic anomolies". I'm used to hunting down high-res versions of photos on the Lunar Surface Journals. Heck, I suppose I could even have a go at photographing certain phenomona here on good old blighty to disprove some of the HBs claims (much of this has already been done in the main forum of course). So... anything to get the truth message to as many people as possible! And to poke one in the eye for Aulis... grrrr!!!! PM me if you think I could be useful.
