Welcome to the forum, Twik.
Not all of us are scientists or engineers, so don't worry about that. I'm just a web designer with a life-long interest in space exploration.

Hi, there. Name's Twik. I'm not an engineer, but I do have a science background. I'm interested in the history of science, and am old enough to remember watching the moon landings on tv. I've learned a lot from this forum, and have finally gathered the nerve to register and post. Welcome. How long were you lurking before you registered?

Hello, all! - I see familiar faces here.. Sorry I didn't spot this thread earlier to introduce myself. I'm another scientist 'pretender' - I don't have many actual qualifications 'cept in Mech Eng, but have spent much of my working life around scientists, in fact for several years I was Operations Manager at a marine science and research centre, and got to tell many scientists and professors what to do (well... ok, I facilitated what they *could* do, so that's almost the same!) Sometimes experience trumps letters after your name.. I was a bright eyed, geeky and incredibly enthusiastic youngster at the time of Apollo, and both then and now I believe it was mankind's finest achievement in both science and engineering. I was somewhat astonished when I discovered, via the Interweb about ten years ago, that there was a band of Apollo deniers.. Frankly I think they are a slap in the face to the hugely talented thousands who worked tirelessly on making Apollo the success it was.. I'm currently developing an Apollo Radiation themed website, that hopefully will be ready for posting soon. And as I am standing on others shoulders, I do, and it will, thank many of the contributors here, Like Bob, Jay and others for their work. Anyway, I've lurked and frequently utilised this forum's expertise in the past, and thought it was time I joined up..

Hello.
I fancied joining in with some sensible discussion for once about the moon landings so I've come here.
I am in my 40s and remember the landings as a child and have always been fascinated by it, but arguing with nutters on a well known conspiracy based forum (I am moving finger) has awakened my interest again, Mostly this is to defend the truth and counter lies and misinformation, but mostly I like the detective work.
I've done a few little videos and photomontages to support the landing case, and I'll gladly share those with people here if they want to use them elsewhere.

Ooh, I was wondering whether you had an account on any Apollo Conspiracy-related forums other than the DI forums. Welcome.

Welcome. Threadworm.
I've found that discussing the hoax has led to greater knowledge about the Apollo program than I thought possible. Plus you get a close look at a great many human foibles, for better or for worse.

Hi, I'm from England and I thought I would join here after speaking with Lunar Orbit on the HPANWO forum. I firmly believe man landed on the moon and find it curious as to how some people can't understand that.

I firmly believe man landed on the moon and find it curious as to how some people can't understand that. Welcome Beetzart. In my opinion nearly all hoax-believers (HBs) can be summed up with one word regarding the moon-landings: Ignorant. They know very little about Mercury-Gemini-Apollo and probably don't understand much of what they get told here. Perhaps don't even want to understand because doing so might force them to re-examine their belief. It's a bit sad, really. My signature says a little more...
