Its always a mystery to me that the one man who is addicted to the moon conspiracy more than anyone else, just uses this site to mine for quotes. It's no mystery at all. Over in his walled Youtube garden he can easily ban anyone brazen enough to point out the many flaws in his arguments. Here he can't do that.

Not forgetting - again - that he got his arse kicked over at the IMDB... but of course he claimed that was a biased arena!

I think that eventually Jarrah will have to join this forum. I actually wouldn't mind, just so we will finally have a chance to debate with him properly. Its always a mystery to me that the one man who is addicted to the moon conspiracy more than anyone else, just uses this site to mine for quotes. Where's the mystery? On Youtube you can edit videos to say what you want, or you can use your teacher to pretend to be an "expert" for one of your videos: educationforum.ipbhost.com/index.php?showtopic=9570&st=75&p=100541entry100541 and nobody can point it out. All they can do is take it elsewhere or make a different video as a response. Here he would have to answer specific questions. He is a liar and a fraud, and people like that avoid places like this.

Jarrah won't come to this board as he knows he will get his ass handed to him on a plate and wander off like a whimpering dog. One only has to take a look at the IMDb and how he could not answer the most basic questions about solar flares. He slinked back to YouTube and claimed that he was being asked questions that he could not answer. He did not get the point that he has been using H-alpha data to compute radiation doses from a proton event, and still does not get this rather 'minor point.' There were some other 'minor' points that Jay Windley raised with him, but these were wasted on Jarrah.
It does not enter Jarrah's mind that he can be wrong, and when he begins to catch the monkey, he will make an about turn, then spin the argument in another direction to support his claims. He has a record of pedaling harder than an Olympic sprint cyclist, but in a backward direction.
In a recent attempt to show that electrons would produce harmful secondary bremsstrahlung radiation when impacting on the CM, he computes the fraction of energy (f) an electron loses to bremsstrahlung using the expression:
f = kZE
k is a semi-empirical constant, Z the atomic number and E the energy of the electron. For aluminum and 3 MeV electrons he computes the fraction of energy lost by an electron to be 0.0273. So what? He states that the electron loses 0.0273 MeV, or 27.3 keV which is a hard X-ray. Jarrah claims x-rays of this energy would have been harmful to the astronauts.
The rest of his argument is wrong at so many levels since his intial premise is flawed, and really not worth covering. Dealing with his elementary level mistakes, he equates a fraction to actual energy lost by the electron, and assumes that the energy lost by the electron is lost to a single photon.
Jarrah cannot perform the most basic of math, let alone apply basic physics. Don't expect him to come here and defend his claims as he gets very uncomfortable with science. If he did pitch up here, it wouldn't be much of a debate. Why? His venom and hatred would soon spill out.

Jarrah is not and never will be about numbers, sound argument or any objective reality. He is a performance artist. It is about drawing an audience, making a name for himself and finding the "deeper truth" that only art can bring.

He slinked back to YouTube and claimed that he was being asked questions that he could not answer. At last. A true claim from Jarrah White. I think it obvious that there's a whole lot of questions about Apollo that he cannot answer.

Jarrah is not and never will be about numbers, sound argument or any objective reality. He is a performance artist. It is about drawing an audience, making a name for himself and finding the "deeper truth" that only art can bring. He does try and do numbers, but he fails miserably. It gets funnier every time he tries. However, to get to those golden nuggets, one has to sit through 3 hours of poisoning the well, 2 hours of 'he said that but this person said this' arguments, 1 hour of Jarrah being 'authoritative' on a subject, and then 5 minutes of the most atrocious mathematics and reasoning. I have yet to see him apply numbers correctly. Every calculation he provides is flawed. He didn't even understand that 2000 MHz is 2 GhZ. If he's the Grandson of the Moonhoax, the torch bearer of 'twoof', I can safely say that we landed on the moon. I'm 110% certain of it. Damn, Jarrah-itis must be catching! He's done more to harm the Moonhoax than anyone, and that's saying something. Anyway, it's late at night where I am... and I have an appointment that I don't want to miss.

It is about drawing an audience, making a name for himself and finding the "deeper truth" that only art can bring. This is very interesting. A close relative of mine, a very special person, whom I have known for 35 years, believes in reincarnation, homeopathy, antroposophy, astrology, mind over matter and you know the rest. I used to think that our returning fights were about the constituents of reality, which are still the pivot of my interests, but I have found out that I was wrong. At a recent family gathering, my daughter in law, who is a straight forward, practical and non-intellectual person, presented this relative as "a storyteller" - obviously in a positive sense. It suddenly dawned on me that my notion of my relative's sharing my interest in the constituents of reality was wrong. These are not her interests at all. She carries a preacher inside (I don't know the correct idiom in English). She wants to be the center of any crowd and convey her "reality" to the people around her. She wants to entertain. So your description of Jarrah certainly rings a bell.

Maybe we should stop talking about Jarrah's maths skills for now because this topic is about his encounter with Buzz.
What I'm actually curious about is what shall be Jarrah's comments on what Buzz explained when he said "I'm sure the US government would not present to world leaders, a piece of petrified wood". BA actually had some interesting words to say here but Jarrah just talked about the press release that came out the next day.

Maybe we should stop talking about Jarrah's maths skills for now because this topic is about his encounter with Buzz. On the contrary, I think Jarrah's maths skills are appropriate to any discussion about young White. In context of White meeting Buzz I think the lack of such skills should be lofted up to the world and illuminated as beacon of stupidity and utter contempt of the gutter trash and drivel that he spews from his walled garden. Here we have a kid, probably with some emotional baggage, and probably suffering some form of 'ism', confronting a man who he is not fit to tie the shoe laces of. Let's recall how brave this particular man was, and exactly how clever he is. Then juxtapose Jarrah's mathematical skills next to that. The boy cannot manipulate basic numbers and equations, and has a record for it. Yet he thinks he is fit to say this man is a con artist, a fraud and a profiteer? Sorry, but anything about Jarrah should be brought up when we are discussing this in context of his encounter with Buzz. I find White a grotesque stain on the face of humanity, and until he can manage to pull himself from his walled garden from YouTube, write up his work and submit it for review, then I shall treat him with the contempt he deserves. I have much stronger words where Jarrah White is concerned, but I shall save those for the day that chance smiles down on me. The displays of hatred and venom he has shown anyone who disagrees with his view of the world, particularly that directed at Jay Windley, Phil Plait and Robert Braeunig, are evidence enough of his disturbed psychological profile.

Really? I had no idea I was in Jarrah's cross hairs. That just goes to show how little attention I give the pissant. And rightfully so, so far as I am concerned. The truth of Apollo doesn't rely on personalities. If you or Jay or Phil were to vanish from this Earth entirely along with all your works, that still wouldn't make Apollo fake. Getting emotionally invested in Jarrah or Jack White or anyone else doesn't strengthen the arguments. I think we ought to treat Jarrah exactly as he is--not important in the grand scheme of things except as a stumbling block toward education.

Really? I had no idea I was in Jarrah's cross hairs. That just goes to show how little attention I give the pissant. You're a prominent propagandist Bob. I only get the title wiki-vandal or troll. You get the full treatment, along with Windley, Plait and the Mythbusters. That's the crazy thing about his world. When he approached Phil Plait at TAM8, Phil had to look at Jarrah's name badge. Phil Plait has no idea who Jarrah was. It's so funny, as Jarrah writes emails to Phil, insists on answers from him, makes videos about him, generally gives him a hard time. Jarrah does not get it. Phil probably receives hundreds of emails a day, and deals with the ones that are important. I doubt Phil knew who Jarrah was until TAM, and sussed him pretty quickly. I think Jarrah has taken on the mantle of Grandson, and thinks that Oprah just hasn't got around to calling him yet. He really has delusions of grandeur now.

Gillianren : While I generally agree with your insight, and appreciate your input at the forum, I believe there are scales here. However, I think you have caught the essence of how I feel. Correct me if I am wrong. The likes of Jay and Bob should give him a stiff ignoring. For them to dedicate their time to White would be like a thoroughbred horse going into a race with a knackered old cart horse. Jay and Bob are considered world authorities on Apollo, and there are many others on this board who amaze me with their knowledge given they do not have the same background as Jay or Bob. I on the other hand am an oik when it comes to Apollo, and therefore am quite happy to get my hands dirty with Jarrah- even I can counter his arguments with minimal effort. The likes of Jay and Bob, well their time is better spent taking on the more sophisticated arguments and presenting the reality of Apollo at their websites. As far as I am concerned, there should also be a repository that combats the idiocy of our cognitively challenged antipodean. That sort of ignorance should be challenged. I think you refer to it as an educational stumbling block. However, my main aim is Ralph Rene. As a physicist, I think the record needs to be set straight on that one, and I hope to do that with some review from friends. I am taking a career path change at the moment, and simply don't have the time right now, but I hope to finish up Ralph Rene soon. I do see your perspective, and I respect your opinion. But, I am proud that sets us apart form the CTers. We can have a discussion with mutual respect.

It's not that I don't think his points should be refuted. It's that I don't think all this going on about various individuals is worth it. Jarrah is wrong. Jarrah is wrong a lot. Jarrah has started making a very public nuisance out of himself. All true. However, you could insert any other individual on the face of the planet into Jarrah's shoes and it would still be the arguments which matter. No, we shouldn't natter on about his math skills in a thread where the point is how he handled a meeting with Buzz. They don't matter to the thread. Jarrah the unit is not the issue. Jarrah's individual arguments are the problem. His math isn't relevant to this particular making an idiot out of himself.
