Ah, yes of course. I suppose the time to fret is when 'Martin from number 43' gets on the list... lol. Exactly right. Pierce Brosnan's on my list, too. I suspect a lot of women have him on their list. Though I also suspect I'm kind of running on the young side for it; people my daughter's age probably only have a vague idea who he is. I don't like speculating about people's mental health based on what I know about them online. We only know what Jarrah wants us to know, really. At least, I don't know anything more. However, the extent to which he's taking this does seem unhealthy to me. Even if it isn't anything clinical, and I can't speak to that, he does need to take a long, hard look at what he's doing.

Fame or infamy to some people, amounts to the same thing......how he can pick the 'bit of wood' argument as his main thrust to fire at Buzz is closer to stupidity than not. It's one step up from the coca-cola bottle IMO.

This is part of Jarrah's reply.
The story says Aldrin told the Diary I was an ‘‘attention seeker’’. If asking a legitimate question is attention-seeking then every other person present must also have been attention seeking. That is absurd and preposterous.
As usual his logic and social awareness is impeccable. It seems Buzz was invited to speak at the Australian Geographic Society Awards. Now, call me stupid, but this implies an award ceremony, an event to celebrate achievement. Regardless of one's views, Jarrah's actions are inappropriate behaviour as he has made himself to be bigger than the event with his line of question. Jarrah clearly had no respect for the event, the audience or the organisers, and certainly no respect for any recipient of awards. The problem is, he fails to understand such things.
He has clearly gone to push his agenda. I wonder if he would have turned up if it was someone else? So yes, he was attention seeking.
The problem : Jarrah sits outside normal social behaviour and norms and he cannot see this.
In any case, the question was not legitimate, as the rock was not presented by Buzz Aldrin. Jarrah's question, much like his moon hoax nonsense, is based on little research and little adherence to gathering the facts.

Either way I would love to know if more questions were asked. He had an opportunity, whether we like it or not, so did he avoid asking something that he knocks all the time?

Not an attention-seeker? So . . . he makes all those YouTube videos because he's not seeking attention?

Question: if you had the chance to surprise Jarrah with microphone in hand and camera crew behind you, what questions would you put to him? For instance, has he falsified claims or evidence? Has he ducked hard questions which would expose the flaws in his claims?
Remember you'll want to get them out rapid fire, making the biggest possible impact. Choose carefully - spending 5 minutes setting the premise of a question just won't cut it.

I'd approach him with the mic, then walk past him. We spend waaay too much time talking about this guy. I certainly wouldn't want to talk to him.

I would ask him when is going to put up for peer review. Sod all that youtube hiding malarkey. Put your money where your mouth is.
Edit. With the old adage, "put up or shut up".
Problem with his arguments is what ever you put to him he will dodge. He will also cry foul on his youtube hidey hole so if he cries foul then the request is repeated. Prove it past the place where the back slappers live.

Isn't there something better to do with a microphone than stick it in JW's face?

You have to use his own tools against him.

Yes, but the question is where to put the microphone!

Has he ducked hard questions which would expose the flaws in his claims? I think it could be relevant to ask him if he supposed Aldrin "knowingly gave a piece of petrified wood - which until last year was thought to be moon rock - to the former Dutch Prime Minister Willem Drees" before he put the question. If the answer would be "yes", he could be asked, why he then put the question. If the answer would be "no", he could be asked, if Aldrin's answer had had any impact on his point of view regarding the matter. To round it off he could be asked, whether he thinks, that if in the future anybody lands people on the Moon - in reality - no hoax :-) , if they will then claim to be the first to do so. Er - it suddenly strikes me, that a lack of said claim would be proof of a hoax ;D

Could you, uh, rephrase this? English is my native language, but I don't seem quite able to parse your message.

He's asking if Jarrah thinks the next people to land on the moon (in reality, not as a hoax) will claim to be the first to have done so.
